30 Days till I Divorce My Husband (Estrella and Jason)

Chapter 105

Eyes locked, Jason teased, “Still not satisfied?”

Estrella stretched out her leg and playfully scraped his shin with her painted toenail, signaling her annoyance at his comment. Jason chuckled and pulled her into his embrace.

Wearily, Estrella warned, “Just so you know, Jason, if it doesn’t work out, any kids are mine.” With the main task accomplished, Estrella naturally started thinking about the future.

Jason laughed off the remark, “Don’t even think about it.” Part ways? Over his dead body-she wouldn’t get rid of him that easily. With that, he hugged Estrella even tighter.

Too tired to argue, Estrella simply closed her eyes. Jason looked down at her, smiling to himself, and glanced at the clock it was 4 a.m.

The next morning, as sunlight spilled into the room, Estrella felt drained and refused to leave the bed. Jason, equally motionless, lay beside her until the sounds of the house staff bustling in the yard roused Estrella from her slumber.

Catching sight of the disarray in the bed, she remembered everything from the previous night. That bastard Jason had gone ahead and slept with her without any warning.

She already forgot about the whole thing about having kids.

Turning her head away, every part of her body ached, and even opening her eyes felt exhausting. As she was about to drift off again, reminiscing how Jason had started awkwardly the night before before finding his rhythm, she was abruptly interrupted by a hand snaking around her waist, pulling her close.

On alert, Estrella snapped, “Enough is enough.”

Jason just laughed at her warning, gently massaging her waist. “Aren’t you the expert? Weren’t you going to be my mentor? Now you’re telling me you can’t handle my moves?”

Estrella felt like she was being mocked. With a disdainful glance, she retorted, “Why don’t you work on your technique instead of just brute force?”

“Sure,” Jason agreed. “Be home early tonight.”

A chill ran down Estrella’s back, and she quickly turned away from him, deciding to pull an all-nighter at work.

Jason noticed Estrella ignoring him. As he reached out his right hand towards Estrella’s chest, Estrella immediately grabbed his hand. Jason whispered with a chuckle, “I’ll just take a little feel.”

Knowing she was uncomfortable, Jason didn’t press further. He’d already managed to silence her protests the night before.

Estrella, exhausted, ignored Jason and continued to nap. Jason tucked the blankets around them and noticed a crimson stain, a smirk playing on his lips-a man’s universal sign of satisfaction.

By noon, when they both woke up again, Estrella felt more refreshed. After a quick shower and change, she headed downstairs.

“Mr. Jason, Ms. Estrella,” greeted the house staff.

“Mmm,” Jason acknowledged, hands in his pockets, his demeanor far more relaxed and

cheerful than usual.

“Mr. Jason’s in a really good mood today.”

“Yeah. He even smiled. That’s a first for me.”

Estrella overheard the staff’s whispers and thought to herself, of course he was in a good mood after last night.

When Marie brought out the soup, Estrella’s eyes widened, and she immediately dropped her utensils, telling Marie, “No need for soup, Marie. We have plenty here.”

Estrella had caught the scent of the rich, nutritious broth from across the room and promptly dismissed it.

Marie looked embarrassed, “Ms. Estrella, Ms. Kristin personally delivered these fresh ingredients yesterday, insisting that I prepare them especially for Mr. Jason.”

Estrella retorted, “Mr. Jason doesn’t need any more ‘nourishment.” He’d be the death of

her at this rate.

Marie caught on after a moment, her face lighting up with realization. “Understood, Ms. Estrella. I’ll take the soup away.” As Marie turned to leave, her smile was radiant, as if she were about to welcome a grandchild.

Across the table, Jason watched Estrella’s horrified expression and couldn’t help but tease her under the table with a playful nudge to her leg.

Estrella scoffed and served him a bowl of plain oatmeal, “Eat up and behave.”

Before they finished their meal, Kristin called. First, she rang Jason. “Jason, did you drink the soup I made for you?” she asked without waiting for a reply. “You promised us you’d get Estrella pregnant before the year’s end, and next year-”

Before she could finish, Jason hung up.

The next moment, Kristin’s call came through to Estrella. Since Kristin wasn’t her biological mother, Estrella felt the need to maintain some courtesy. So, even before

Kristin could speak, Estrella took the initiative to report. “Yes, drank it. A whole big bowl.”

On the other end, Kristin inquired, “Did it work? Should you take him to see a doctor?”

Hearing Kristin’s question, Estrella cheekily replied, “If the doctor prescribes anything else, I might not be able to stand it.”

Kristin chuckled, “So, Estrella, there’s hope for me to have a grandchild?”

With a sip of her drink, Estrella said, “Yes, yes, there’s hope.”

Every time Kristin mentioned her grandson, Estrella almost wished she could conjure one up out of thin air like some kind of modern-day genie.

Estrella assured Kristin she was on it, and only then did Kristin feel at ease. “Estrella, dear, I know it’s a lot to ask, but please don’t worry. You just need to give birth to this child. Once they’re here, you won’t

have to lift a finger, and your career won’t skip a beat,” she said, as if a baby was already on the way.

Estrella humored her with a few responses and a string of promises, committing to a shopping spree later. Kristin finally hung up, content and satisfied.

After lunch, when Estrella was about to hop into her car, Jason chimed in with a casual, “Let me drive you.”

Since Jason was offering, Estrella wasn’t going to refuse. Throughout the drive, Jason was in an exceptionally cheerful mood. Whether it was Drew or someone else on the line, his voice was noticeably brighter, his spirits evidently high.

“Jason, did you hit the jackpot or something?”

“Mr. Jason, is there some good news back home?”

Jason didn’t answer, but his sunny disposition said it all.

From the passenger seat, Estrella eyed him and said with a touch of indifference, “For heaven’s sake, Jason, you’re the boss of Nelson International, and the son of the Nelsons. Act like you’ve been around the block, will ya?”

Jason turned to her, a smile playing on his lips “I’ve seen it all, except someone quite like you.” NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

As he spoke, they pulled up in front of the department store. Estrella could already spot Kristin from a distance. She reached for her seatbelt, ready to disembark, but Jason didn’t move to open the door. Instead, he asked, “You’re just going to leave like that?”
