Chapter 329
Chapter 329
Sofia’s pov
The first thing I had thought of when everyone around the table were suddenly pointing their guns at
Luca, was that they were somehow going to shoot him or something, but because I could even think of
anything else– Luca, who didn’t even look unfazed while being pointed over twenty guns– began to
speak.
“There’s someone here who’s pointing his gun here right now… I thought this whole place was
supposed to have been filtered well?”
I watched as everyone remained frozen, but Luca gestured to the man standing exactly before him to
shift a little, and when he did– the dancer and the man she was grinding on remained frozen in a spot.
“There they are.” Luca drawled to everyone around the table, and when the men around the table still
looked unsure, was exactly when everything broke lose.
Before I could blink, the girl was sliding off the man like a snake and whipping out a gun and a couple
of knifes which she flung towards our table as she began to shoot. The next thing I heard was Luca
asking me to duck as he shoved me down, and With my heart in my mouth from the fear I was currently
feeling, I heard a few men groan and a lot of guns going off. I didn’t need to glance out the table to
figure out that the people who were shooting at the men whom Luca had been discussing with, were
definitely more than four in number.
When Luca had said that the club was dangerous, I hadn’t expected it to be this dangerous to the
extent of us walking straight into the mouth of an open fire. With my heart pounding hard against my
chest and the sound of people falling and groaning and fighting echoed around every parts of the room,
I silently prayed nothing happens to Luca over and over again.
The sound of something heavy falling on the table which I was hiding beneath made me let out a
frightened scream, and then in the next moment, a body was falling off the table, to the part where I
was hiding in, and I stared in horror, into the wide open eyes of a man dressed in black, and a gun
clutched loosely in his hands. Blood started to pour out from his mouth in the next second, proving to
me that he was most definitely dead. A horrified scream bubbled in my throat and I was quick to slap
my hands over my mouth to stop the scream from tearing out.
I was staring at a dead body, a body had died, and it sounded like more people were dying all around
me.
How did a peaceful and collected meeting turn into this in only a few seconds? I asked myself as I
squeezed my eyes tightly closed and refused to stare at the dead body a few feet away from my feet.
It felt like my heart was going to burst out from my chest from how fast it was beating, and I was still
silently praying that nothing happens to Luca– when his face suddenly pop up and he was holding his
hand out for me to take.
I let out the breath I had been holding and accepted his hand immediately, a relived breath puffing out
of my lips at the fact that he was still very much alive and also seemed completely unscrathed.
“Are you okay?” He asked while examining my whole face and body with his eyes in seconds and I
nodded my head in response instantly, even though I was most definitely not okay right now.
I glanced around the club after a moment and felt my heart dropped into my stomach at how
everywhere looked. The whole place had literally been turned upside down and there were so many
broken stuff on the ground. There were also a lot of dead bodies, or people who were still alive but had
been shot.
The sound of men talking made me drag my gaze back to ehst was unfolding before me, and that was
when I noticed that the man who I had first noticed, the one who the girl had been giving a lap dance,
was still alive, although he was in a very bad state. He was shot in his shoulder and in one of his legs,
and was bleeding profusely, but that was none of the men’s concern, instead, they were all questioning
him at once and threatening to blow his head off if he refused to tell them who he had initially been sent
to kill.
The man had only laughed and spat in the face of the man closest to him, and the man who got spat
on, his him on the side of his face with the butt of his gun and I watdved as blood began to slide down
the side of his face.
My heart was still racing fast and I could feel my skin crawling in a really unpleasant way. This was the
first time I’d ever witnessed something this violent, and my wasn’t sure I knew how to feel about it. Luca
still had his gun out and I knew he must have shot it a lot as well, for him to still remain completely
unscathed – when some of the men who he had been discussing with, had different wounds on them.
I felt myself pressing against Luca without realizing it, until I felt his hand on my hips as he pulled me
closer against him.
After some time, the man ended up confessing that he had Brent sent to come kill the men sitting
exactly beside Luca, but had refused to say who it was that hsd sent him, and so he had gotten taken
away, to get treated a little so as not to lose consciousness, since he still had a lot of other
introgrstuuns to go through tonight.
Once he had left, was probably when the men began to notice just how damaged the whole place was,
because they were letting out curses as they glanced around.
I couldn’t wait to get out here and forget all what I had witnessed tonight, and after some time, to my
shock, Luca was telling the men that I had been the one who had seen the gun being pointed at their This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
table, and shockingly, they had proceeded to express how impressed and thankfully they were. I had
remained silent throughout the whole thing and was silently wishing we’d start leaving already.
