Jaden was taken aback too. The black card he gave to Candace was the most basic kind, while the top-tier black card was something he never even dared to dream about. Yet, here was Flora, flaunting one. "Wow, Flora! You're absolutely loaded!" Kruz was floored. He had tried counting her wealth in silence but just couldn't keep up.
"Hey, sis, can I hitch a ride on your success?" Adrian's eyes were wide with amazement. His sister was truly in a league of her own when it came to wealth!
"Take a good look, folks. When Flora makes a move, it's with a top-tier black card. Don't embarrass yourself by flashing that basic card around!" Even the store manager chimed in, "Miss, why are you just standing there? Apologize already!" Calling someone a thief out of nowhere-if Flora didn't have some clout, she'd have been in serious trouble by now.
Candace gritted her teeth. Apologizing to Flora? No way! Who did Flora think she was? Just someone who managed to latch onto Connor. But Connor wasn't here now, while her own support was right here, stronger than ever! "Hey, bro!" Kruz suddenly exclaimed with excitement.
Connor walked in, followed by Moss carrying a black bag. In his tailored black coat, Connor's sharp and icy features exuded an aloof charm that made everything else fade into the background. His deep, indifferent eyes cast an intimidating aura. Candace felt a pang of envy watching their close interaction. Jaden was nice, but when standing next to Connor, he felt worlds apart.
"Mr. Hawke," Jaden quickly greeted Connor, his expression shifting slightly.
"You were saying my fiancée took your black card?" Connor's voice was icy, his eyes dark and piercing, leaving a chill in the air. Jaden's heart skipped a beat. "It was a misunderstanding. We wronged Ms. Flora. Ms. Flora, I apologize on Candace's behalf." Flora sipped her latte, remaining silent.
"Is your lady friend mute? Does she need you to speak for her?" Kruz scoffed. "Wasn't she just as chatty as a machine gun a moment ago?" Adrian joined in, mocking the pretense.
"Candace, apologize to Ms. Flora,"
Jaden insisted, knowing that without an apology, things wouldn't end well.

"What are you, a mosquito? Speak up!" Kruz teased, cleaning out his ear.
Candace was on the verge of tears. Jaden still felt for her. Candace was usually so sweet and
mild-mannered. If she targeted Flora, it might be because Flora had hurt Lucky first.
"Mr. Kruz, Candace has apologized, no need to be harsh. We messed up with Ms. Flora, and I'm here to apologize again."

As he tried to lead Candace away, a chilly voice stopped them in their tracks. "Did I say you could leave?"
