Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1202

Chapter 1202:

Caught off guard, Phoebe blurted out, “I’m with Eileen.” Eileen, who had been unexpectedly dragged into the conversation, was momentarily speechless.

Her smile faltered. She turned to glance at Bryan, who was looking at her.

Jacob spun around and asked Eileen, “So, what brings you here? Were you concerned about our little college reunion?”

Eileen responded in a composed tone, “I had no idea you were meeting up with classmates today. No one mentioned it to me.” Bryan fell silent and turned his gaze elsewhere. He had been curious about why Eileen had shown up, but now, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to know anymore.

“It’s just a class reunion. Why keep quiet about it?” Jacob glanced at Eileen and then back at Bryan. “I’m not trying to come down on you, but there shouldn’t be secrets between you two. It’s not like these reunions are shady. Knowing Eileen, she’d have no problem letting you attend. So why sneak off?”

Meeting Presley behind Eileen’s back made Bryan look like he was hiding something.

“Maybe I’m just too possessive,” Eileen said, narrowing her eyes at Bryan.

Did Bryan keep it from her because he didn’t want her to know that Presley was also here? She couldn’t really stay uninvolved—Presley worked for the Deleon Group, after all.

What was strange was that Bryan hadn’t explained anything.

“Well…” Phoebe could sense something was off. She grabbed Jacob’s wrist and nudged him forward. “Let’s take the stairs. Take care! Let’s catch up another time.”

Jacob was about to ask what was going on when Phoebe practically shoved him toward the stairs.

“Let’s not stick around to watch Eileen and Bryan’s drama,” Phoebe said. Deep down, she felt uneasy. She had come to catch Jacob creating trouble, but now, it was Eileen and Bryan who were facing problems in their relationship.

Inside the small elevator, Eileen kept her hands buried in her pockets, her eyes fixed on the numbers counting down.

“I came here for something, just bumped into my classmates having a gathering,” Bryan said, his voice steady, as if he were trying to play it cool. Eileen simply nodded in response.

The elevator doors slid open, and Eileen stepped out ahead of Bryan. As they reached the club’s entrance, she said, “I brought my own car. Let’s head home separately.”

Without waiting for a response, she walked straight to her car.

As soon as she buckled her seatbelt, she noticed Presley rushing out.

Her small frame looked fragile against the cold winter wind. Without Jacob’s jacket, the wet patches on her clothes became even more noticeable.

Presley mumbled something to Bryan, but Bryan just frowned, his expression distant. He gestured toward Eileen, approached, and got into the car, completely ignoring Presley.

“I’ve had a drink, so I can’t drive. Raymond will bring my car back later,” Bryan said.

As Bryan shifted, he pulled out two bags of snacks from under him. He glanced down and saw more snack bags piled up near his feet. The car was filled with the smell of snacks.

Bryan squinted at Eileen. “You and Phoebe… have you been here all day?”

“Yes,” Eileen started the car. “Phoebe thought Jacob was cheating. She even got divorce papers ready, but it turns out Jacob wasn’t the one having an affair.”
