A Girl in My Life

4

Huge doors coated in fine gold, studded with various precious stones such as rubies, sapphires, diamonds, emeralds… There are so many that I can’t even list the names of all of them – It’s because I still don’t know the names of all of them, but I know that it won’t take me long to get to know them all.

At this moment all the aspiring angels apprentice, we are in the corridor waiting the time to enter inside the great ceremony hall, Suriel is facing the big doors and back to us; I feel my hands and legs give, step the back of my hand in the intention of removing them, my heart beats so strong that I am able to hear it as if it was inside my ears. I come out of my self-analysis as I hear the footsteps of the apprentices moving. “I wonder if Suriel already gave the order, but I was so lost that I ended up not listening.” – I wonder in thought.

– Are you sleeping Anael? Didn’t you hear me tell you to go to the front of the line? – Suriel says next to me, almost a scream of fright escapes me, I was really too focused on myself that I didn’t pay attention to anything around me.

– Why is he going to be the first to enter? – Zuriel asks looking me up and down, I do not like the way he looks at me.

– Simple my dear Zuriel, Anael was the only one not to have received punishment from the Lord, the only one who has no shame since his birth – answers Suriel with his deep voice, full of authority to Zuriel that in an instant stops looking at me and returns to his place in line.

I mentally thank Suriel for defending me of the others, already they had tried to make funny pranks with me and Suriel always got rid of me and gave a scolding to them, and this made them to look at me even more ugly. Once, I was in my third week of life, they called me to participate of a race, they told me that it was just for fun and to distract a little bit, this race was from the end of a division until the entrance of the other, I accepted to go, I imagined that finally they were accepting me and leaving any indifference for there. I was wrong, when I arrived at the appointed place I almost did my needs in my trousers, I had never seen such an ugly shade of red to look at:

The warrior angels were fighting against the fallen angels, the scene was one of great violence, arms being severed, bellies being split open, wings being torn off, the ground all bathed in blood, I was petrified watching such a scene, I couldn’t move any of my muscles, the sounds of screams from both parties echoed loudly in my ears.

A fallen angel notices my presence and wielding his sword comes flying quickly towards me, the hatred in his eyes was totally visible, suddenly everything around me becomes silent, things seem to have gone in slow motion, the only thing I can see is the fallen coming towards me getting closer and closer, raising his sword more and more to kill me.

“Is this how my life will end? I couldn’t even know anything…” – I think sadly as the fallen angel is only inches away from me.

Blood melts my face, the fallen angel’s head falls rolling across the blood soaked floor, I hold my breath as I see his headless body falling to his knees and further increasing the pool of blood.

– Come on Anael! – Suriel pulled my hand and we went back to the dorm.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

I couldn’t stand to see anything red, and if I did I would vomit immediately. Suriel went to the master and asked him to remove this trauma from my body. I heard the sound of his voice soothing me, I have not forgotten what happened, but now I have no more trauma, I was healed directly by him.

Tirintim

And so begins the loud sound of the various trumpets behind the great doors.

– Attention! – says Suriel and all the apprentices stand at attention. The commander and trainer Suriel stands facing us and continues – Today is a special day – he walks to the end of the line with his hands crossed over his lower back – Today you will stop being mere apprentice aspirants – he returns to the front of the line and stands in front of me -Today you became apprentice angels, you will be part of the great celestial family.

As soon as Suriel finishes his little speech, he looks at me and nods in positive with a slight shake of his head, I return the act and then the big doors open. Quickly I try to disguise my eyes that opened more than normal, my mouth also opened but soon I tried to close it so that nobody noticed my surprise. The hall where the wings ceremony is taking place is rich… A beauty so great that the brightness makes one’s eyes water. Its walls, its pillars are all covered with gold, the designs that embellish them are all covered with small crystals.

– March! – commands Suriel.

With my head held high I move my legs and start marching into the hall and the other aspirants follow me. We are all lined up, all in one step.

– Halt! – another command is given by Suriel and we stop marching.

All the angels, from all the divisions of heaven, are present in the hall which is in the lord’s palace which is located in the centre of all the divisions; they are here to congratulate and welcome the new members of the family.

“Silence.” this command is given by the lord in his spirit form to all present.

And everyone soon obeys and everything is in complete silence, the only thing I can hear is the sound of my heartbeat and my breathing which I try at all costs to keep regular. I close my eyes, fill my lungs with all the air that my nostrils allow me to suck in without making noise, after I have exchanged the gases in my lungs I release it through my mouth, also in the most silent way possible.

In the same hour the enormous curtains as white as the clouds open, the drums begin to play, soon after the harps, the fouls, the violins also begin and the lord makes his entrance in the hall.

All the angels (including the aspirants) kneel to the Lord in respect and adoration.

– May my peace be with you always – says the Lord and we return to our previous positions, then once again his voice is present:
