A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Hayley didn't intend to make a big fuss either, so she lowered her phone.

"Ms. Jones, your family is the host for tonight's party. If you guys can't find where my ring is, you'll know for sure whether the Jenkins family is concerned about crossing others."

Melody hadn't even been in the world of business, yet she dared to blatantly threaten Hayley. How absurd.

Meanwhile, Melody also felt a little irritated, and her expression turned awful. After all, she was retorted twice in the end. She would've turned around and left if it weren't because she hadn't executed what she had set out to do.

"I do hope that you'll find your ring as soon as possible, Ms. Jenkins." Melody raised her chin and added cockily, "The surveillance outside the restroom was spoiled, but the one in the party hall is working fine.

"We'll be able to narrow down the suspects once John checks for people who left the hall."

It was a choice between crossing a handful and a group of people. Everyone with

a working brain would know what choice to make, which was why Melody was convinced that Hayley wouldn't turn down her suggestion.

As expected, Hayley nodded in agreement.

Melody gave John another call. "Review the surveillance for the party hall. Check for the people who left the hall after the ring was lost."

Back in the surveillance room, the hotel staff standing next to John reached out and pointed at a person on the screen.

John glanced at the screen and narrowed his eyes. He hesitated for two seconds before he said, "It's Mrs. Gray."

Melody was stunned when she heard the way he addressed Sierra. Then, she found it disdainful. The way she saw it, Sierra didn't deserve the title at all.

However, she plastered on a surprised expression. Then, she pretended to murmur instinctively, "Ms. Shaw! How could it have been her?"noveldrama

Naturally, Hayley heard Melody muttering. She searched her memory for a long time, but she couldn't place a lady with the family name "Shaw".

"Who is this Ms. Shaw? Take me to her."

It didn't matter who the Shaw lady was. She had to get her ring back.

Melody hesitated a little when she saw Hayley's attitude, but she was actually thrilled on the inside. The bigger the mess became, the more humiliated Sierra would be.

Theo would be forced to preserve the Gray family's dignity and divorce Sierra, who would become a disgrace.

After Melody and Hayley returned to

the party hall, she led Hayley to Sierra, who was boxed in by Lauren and some guests. A hint of triumph flashed in her eyes, but she quickly resumed a worried look.

"Ms. Shaw."

Hayley was so anxious to find her ring that she shoved Melody out of the way. She sized Sierra up briefly and got straight down to business.

"Ms. Shaw, please return my ring to me."

Lauren was at a loss for words. After a moment, she said, "I'm not who you're looking for. She is."

Hayley turned around and looked at Sierra, who was dressed in grace and sophistication, sweeping her gaze across Sierra's neck and earrings.

She frowned and was visibly confused. "Ms. Shaw?"

Sierra nodded, feeling bewildered. "I'm afraid I haven't seen the ring you're talking about."

Hayley looked at Melody. After all, Melody had asked John to check the surveillance.

Melody had also brought her to Sierra.

Now, however, Sierra claimed that she hadn't seen the ring. Naturally, she would hold Melody accountable.

"Ms. Shaw, Ms. Jenkins' ring is as valuable as it is unique. If you have taken it, you should give it now. We won't tell anyone about this."

Melody explicitly told Sierra about how unique the ring was. It might have looked like she was persuading Sierra, but she was asserting the fact that the thief was Sierra.

Lauren's eyes were brimming with excitement as she stared at Sierra's purse. She wished she could rush forward and yank the ring out from the purse for everyone to see.

Now that the whole thing had come to this, Sierra was able to figure out just what

Lauren was counting on. Then, she cast a doubtful glance at Melody.

Just how big of a part did Melody play in the setup?

Melody met Sierra's gaze and snickered internally. Sierra might've been quick- witted, but she was still one step behind.
