Chapter 43
Chapter 43 Sharing Good News
The property manager looked at the shattered glass scattered across the floor with concem.
Siema shook her head, forcing a smile. “It's fine. I'm okay. Thank you for coming so quickly."
"It's the least we could do. Ms. Shaw, if something like this happens again, don't open the door, just contact the security office, and we'll send someone to handle it.” The manager spoke gently.
Sierra nodded, then, after seeing the manager off and closing the door, leaned wealdy against it. She curled up, unable to hold back any longer, and trembled as the tears finally tell.
Why? Why did Benson have to treat her this way?
Meanwhile, he was being dragged out of the complex by the security guards, his face contorted in fury. A man of his status had never been treated like this before.
"Sir, please leave, or we'll have to call the police," one of the guards said, his tone flat but laced with disdain.
He was handsome, but his temper was terrible.
Benson, enraged by the dismissive look, shot back, "She's my girlfriend! What right do you have in my girlfriend's house?"
“Even if she is your girlfriend, you can't force her! I can't stand domestic violence. How dare you lay a hand on a woman? You coward!"
The security guard was a man of strong principles, and he wasn't afraid to scold Benson
Benson's face darkened, his anger flaring. "Did you see me abuse her with your own eyes?"
“We all saw it. We may be just security guards with limited education, but we still have dignity—unlike you, acting all high and mighty while being a hypocrite!"
With that, the security guard slammed the door to the security office, cutting off further conversation.
"You" Benson's face twisted with rage. He let out a frustrated grunt and stormed off.
Three days later, Sierra received a text in the afternoon notifying her that her application for the Marisol Cup had been approved. A smile spread across her face, the weight lifting from her shoulders.
She pulled out her phone and immediately shared the good news with Madison. Almost instantly, Madison replied with a voice message.
"Wosh" You're amazing! Mwah, mwah, mwah! Once I finish these drafts, I'll take you out to eat, and we'll celebrate properly!TM
Siema smiled softly.
Lately, Madison had been undebalot of pressure from her editor and readers, working day and night to catch up on her writing after slacking off recently. Sierra scrolled through her phone, found Theo's WhatsApp, hesitated for a moment, then sent a screenshot of her successful registration.
"Uncle Theo, I’min”
In the Gray Corporation's conference room, Theo was listening intently to an employee's report when his phone buzzed on the desk. His dark eyes glanced at the screen, but when he saw the name, his gaze softened,
He picked up the phone, opened the message, and saw Sierra's screenshot and text. His usually cold eyes warned, and a small smile tugged at the comers of his lips.
His long fingers tapped out two words-"Good luck". He then set the phone back down.noveldrama
When he looked up, he saw that all the employees were watching him. His expression Immediately hardened, and he coldly asked, "Is there something on my face?
A cold, oppressive air filled the room, and the employees quickly lowered their heads. They had just seen Theo smile, but it must have been a mistake. It was Impossible for him to smile!
Sierra saw Theo's reply and sandled even brighter. She then glanced at the suit jacket she had carefully washed and pressed. She was about to send him a message to ask if he was free so she could drop it off.
But before she could finish typing, her screen lit up with an incoming call from "Mom".
