chapter 76 So cruel
chapter 76 So cruel
Without a choice, the reluctant Zachary bit the bullet and slit his wrist so he could collect a bowl of blood for Olivia.
Meanwhile, Olivia calmly stopped the bleeding and applied ointment to the wound. She said with a smile. "Don't worry, Mr. Zachary. Your wound will recover in three days, and no scar will be left behind when you use the ointment I made."
After saying that, she flashed a mysterious smile at the people surrounding her. "My ointment can remove some age-old scars too. If you need it, you can buy it from me. I'm in a good mood today, and I'm offering a mates' rate for every one of you."
Yelena asked meekly, "And how much is that?"
After all, the woman in front of them was charging more than a billion dollars to treat Dennis, so they didn't think her mates' rate would be a bargain price.
"Oh, half a million for one box." Initially, Olivia wanted to state the price as one hundred thousand dollars, but then again, she remembered that these people before her were all filthy rich, and if she named them a low price, they would look down on her.
To her surprise, everyone present breathed a sigh of relief after she spoke. They all agreed that paying this sum was like a bargain to them if Olivia's ointment was effective.
Olivia looked at their reactions and realized she should have asked for more. However, this discussion could turn these people into Olivia's long-term customers, so she found no rush in trying to suck their money dry all at once.
She caressed her chin. "You can wait until Mr. Zachary's wound heal before you make your decision. If you think the ointment is effective, you can get it from me."
After Olivia was done speaking, she told them to leave.
Then, she brought Zachary's blood over to the bedside. Olivia first gave Dennis a pill to boost his bodily functions before getting Yaron to feed Dennis two large bowls of water.
Seeing that it was almost time, Olivia threw another pill into the bowl of blood.
Yaron stood aside and watched Olivia do her job with his full attention for fear of missing something worth noting during the treatment process.
Yaron broke out into a cold sweat when he saw the blood begin to boil and bubble after Olivia threw the pill into it.
He mused, "What is in that pill? I think I just saw Dr. Xue giving one of those things to Grandpa Si."
After the blood in the bowl boiled, a disgusting and strange smell emitted from it. The scent greatly irritated Yaron, as he retched a few times.
But upon a closer look, Yaron noticed the other two people beside him stood there calmly like nothing had happened. Unwilling to admit defeat, he calmed himself down.
Meanwhile, Dennis' body began to shake violently on the bed as the blood boiled.
To be precise, there was a strangle bubbling phenomenon happening in his belly.
It was like there was something inside that was struggling and twisting desperately, constantly hitting and tearing Dennis' internal organs.
Occasionally, his belly would bulge high due to the impact, and the mark left behind would be as big as the size of a thumb.
Even though Yaron had been in the medical field for a long time, he had never seen anything quite as terrifying as what he was witnessing at the moment.
He mused, "Is it true that there is poisonous insect in Grandpa Si's belly? The thing inside him that contorted, twisted and struggled. Are they…"
Yaron didn't dare to dwell on the matter further. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
As the bowl of blood vaporized, the more Dennis' belly contorted and twisted. In the end, the thing in his body even went on a rampage, surging from one side of Dennis' belly to another as if it had gone crazy.
Also, the smell in the room became more and more unpleasant.
Yaron had already put on the mask quietly, but it did nothing to block the pungent smell from wafting into his nostrils. He was so uncomfortable that cold sweat kept dripping down his body.
Meanwhile, Xavier and Olivia still looked calm, as if the stench did not affect them at all.
Yaron probably wouldn't have wondered why the other two people were acting normally in this suffocating situation if he was aware of their past and how both of them had even stayed in environments that were worse-smelling and more dire than their current one.
Just then, Olivia told Xavier to unbutton Dennis' shirt.
It was then they saw the insect sprinting around madly in Dennis' body.
Yaron felt his head numbed, and he had to suppress his disgust to not turn around and puke.
Olivia observed the scene quietly. After the insect jumped around for about ten minutes, its movements slowed as if it had run out of energy.
She took out a candle burner, placed and lit it before putting it on the bedside table, and waited again.
Two minutes later, Olivia quickly took out multiple silver needles and inserted one into Dennis' chest when a bizarre aroma filled the room.
After more than ten or twenty needles were inserted in a row, the exhausted insect began to twist wildly again as if Olivia's actions threatened it.
Olivia smiled gloomily, got a pill out of her pocket, and threw it into the bowl that had boiled so much that only a little blood was left. Then, she fed the blood-stained pill to Dennis.
Yaron no longer knew what words to use to describe his feelings.
He just felt like he was watching a blockbuster. Everything in front of him was so surreal that he froze in place and didn't dare to move.
Meanwhile, the insect began to jump around more violently, fighting for its life after Dennis consumed the pill.
Olivia put an unknown medicine into Dennis' mouth. She said to Yaron on the side, "Go and ask Timothy whether he has prepared the hot water and the medicinal concoction that I wanted. If he did, get him to put them outside."
Yaron nodded hurriedly and quickly went out to deliver the message.
When he came back, he happened to see Dennis sitting up from the bed like a corpse and then vomited a mouthful of black substance onto the ground.
Olivia quickly inserted two needles into his back. Dennis trembled, lowered his head again, and vomited twice more. The last time he puked, a black insect bigger than the size of a thumb flew out
from his mouth.
The most terrifying thing was the insect struggled relentlessly even after being spitted out.
The horrifying scene, along with the unbearable smell of decay, made Yaron, who had just come in, vomit.
However, Olivia acted as if nothing had happened. She patted Dennis on the back, and the man spat out two mouthfuls of blood. Then, she let Dennis lie down again and got Xavier to feed him a pill while she grabbed a needle and stabbed at the escaping insect.
Then, Olivia sprinkled some powder on the puddle of black things and the insect. With that, the puddle of foul-smelling stuff disappeared together with the insect.
Yaron had just lifted his head when he witnessed this scene. Once again, the urge to vomit overwhelmed him again.
Olivia ignored Yaron. After finishing her task, she asked Xavier to bring in the bathtub and the medicinal concoction so they could bathe Dennis; she was so tired that she gasped for air on the side.
Even though it seemed like she did nothing much during the process, injecting the needles consumed her energy.
With each injection, her energy got sucked out, and at this moment, she was drained of her energy, running out of breath.
To make matters worse, the room smelled horrible.
Olivia opened the window uncomfortably. Suddenly, a group of insects and birds fell onto the ground, and the branches that faced the room wilted.
Of course, it was already the next day when the Si Family discovered this. However, no one dared to speak about it as fear filled their hearts.
They wondered collectively, "What an awful and wicked person for him to put this incredibly poisonous insect into the old man's body! If the Si Family wasn't loaded, the old man would have passed away from being harmed by the insect!"
