Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

The conversation eventually ended there, the tension hanging in the air like a thick fog. Alpha Kilian’s fur bristled, his gaze filled with lingering anger and resentment. Nelly, her eyes locked on him, laced her words with a hint of challenge, “What about you?”

His growl was low and menacing, a rumble from deep within his chest. “I have never thought of giving the two children up!” Each word was emphasized, his voice dripping with authority.

Nelly’s eyes narrowed, her voice dripping with venom. “I meant to ask if you regretted what you did to me.”

For a moment, silence permeated the space, the tension between them palpable. Alpha Kilian’s eyes flashed with conflicting emotions before he finally spoke, his voice weighed down with hesitation, “Those are two different matters.”

With a snarl, Nelly refused to back down. “It is the same thing! If you hadn’t treated me like that back then, I wouldn’t have kept it from you either.”

Alpha Kilian pursed his thin lips, his silence a begrudging admission of the truth.

“You’ve never thought of giving the two children up, but would you have allowed them to stay with me?” Nelly’s voice was filled with unabashed certainty. “Would you allow them to have a mother like me, whom you find to be such a disgrace? You won’t. So even if I did that out of my own selfish intentions, is there any problem with that? Why should I keep your flesh and blood and make myself go through the pain of parting with them?”

Alpha Kilian remained silent, his gaze locked on Nelly, searching for answers.

Without hesitation, Nelly continued her assault. “So don’t just put all the blame on me. I admit that my actions were selfish, but I have to say that it was the best outcome for both of us. There’s nothing tying us together, and we wouldn’t have to deal with each other. And there wouldn’t be a need for us to be an indispensable part of each other’s lives.”

“If they were still here, I wouldn’t mind,” Alpha Kilian replied, his voice filled with quiet resignation.

Nelly’s gaze hardened, a flicker of defiance in her eyes. “I mind.”

Alpha Kilian looked at her, his expression a mix of doubt and longing.

“I don’t have the upper hand in this matter, so I won’t choose to make myself suffer,” Nelly declared, her voice firm and resolute. “If I had the choice, I hope that the one who’s in misery is you.” She couldn’t care less if he called her selfish or merciless; that was exactly the type of person she was.

Alpha Kilian’s eyes burned with unspoken emotions, but before he could respond, a growl echoed in the distance. Both of them turned towards the sound, their attention diverted.

Alpha Wade, his alpha presence impossible to ignore, stepped out of his car. His gaze moved from Alpha Kilian to Nelly, his eyebrows raised in question. “What are you doing here?”

Alpha Kilian, composed and respectful, greeted him, “Hi, Old Mr. Jackson.”

Alpha Wade’s gaze shifted to Nelly’s bandaged arm. Concern etched his face as he demanded answers, “Nelly, are you hurt? What happened?”

Nelly’s voice trembled slightly as she assured him, “I’m fine, Gramps.”

Alpha Wade glared at Alpha Kilian, ready to unleash his alpha wrath. “You rascal. Were you the one who did this? What did you do to Nelly? Let me tell you this. I don’t care whose grandson you are, but if you dare to hurt Nelly, I won’t let you off!”Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Sensing the impending danger, Nelly rushed forward to calm her grandfather down. “Gramps, this has nothing to do with him. He wasn’t the one who did it.”

Alpha Wade’s eyes narrowed, his gaze unwavering as he assessed the situation. “Who else could have done it besides him?”

Alpha Kilian stood in silence, his respect for Alpha Wade preventing him from defending himself. He knew it was futile.

“Grandpa, it really isn’t him. An accident happened yesterday, and he was the one who saved me,” Nelly explained hastily, desperate to prevent Alpha Wade from attacking Alpha Kilian.

Alpha Wade’s anger subsided slightly as he looked towards Nelly. “Nelly, don’t be afraid. Now that I’m here, no one can try to bully you.”

Nelly nodded, her voice confident as she reiterated her story. “It’s true, Gramps. There’s no need for me to cover up for him.”

“Really?” Alpha Wade questioned, searching for any hint of deception in her eyes.

Nelly nodded once again, her determination clear. She had no reason to lie.

Believing her, Alpha Wade turned his attention to Alpha Kilian. “If that’s what Nelly says, then I’ll believe you. But Alpha Kilian…” He paused, contemplating his words carefully. “Nelly is the last descendant of the Jackson family. I don’t want any harm to come to her. I hope you can understand this.”

Alpha Kilian nodded solemnly. “I understand.”

With a final nod, Alpha Wade accompanied Nelly upstairs to tend to her wounds, leaving Alpha Kilian behind. As he watched them disappear from sight, he suppressed the turmoil of his emotions, got into his car, and drove off into the night.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Alpha Wade took out a medical kit and turned his attention to Nelly’s injury. “The wound must be very deep. This won’t do. I think you should go to the hospital to get it treated,” he suggested, his concern evident.

“Gramps, I’ve already treated it at the hospital. They’ve already applied the medication. It really isn’t a big deal,” Nelly reassured him.

Relieved, Alpha Wade sighed. But his curiosity got the better of him and he couldn’t resist probing further. “So what exactly happened?”

Nelly knew she couldn’t hide the truth from him any longer. With a deep breath, she began to explain, carefully choosing her words. “Yesterday, I went to negotiate a project deal with Dave from Prime Investment Corporation. He got aggressive… and I ended up injuring myself to stay conscious. But then Alpha Kilian came to my rescue and even fought him off. He saved me and brought me to the hospital. That’s how I ended up with this wound.” She summarized the events concisely, omitting some of the more complicated details.

Alpha Wade listened intently, his eyes searching her face for any signs of deception. He knew there was more to the story, but he also knew that Nelly would never willingly harm herself.

Suddenly, a realization struck him, and he turned on the television. The news was broadcasting the arrest of Dave, the executive at Prime Investment Corporation, on charges of corporate crimes and rape.

Looking at Nelly, Alpha Wade couldn’t help but ask, “Did you do this?”

Nelly shook her head vehemently. “It’s not me. I haven’t even found the time to do it.”

Alpha Wade believed her. If she was the one responsible, she wouldn’t deny it.

With a wry smile, he mused, “Then isn’t this quite the coincidence?”

Nelly met his gaze, her eyes filled with determination. “Gramps, I promise you it wasn’t me.”

Alpha Wade’s concern for her slowly transformed into pride as he nodded, choosing to trust her. “I believe you, Nelly. Just remember, you have the strength to face whatever comes your way.”
