EPISODE 51 The end to a secret adventure
MOON STONE PACK
Meagan gave her best friend’s hand a small squeeze. “Bye, best friend.” And with that she walked away from the couple.
When Meagan was almost at the door, she stopped to look around in search of the alpha. She wanted to say a final goodbye to him even though she hated goodbyes. But when she didn’t see his masculine figure anywhere, she gave up and concluded that it was better this way.
No goodbyes, just memories of the time spent with him, the passionate moments involving just two of them in his apartment, at the pool, in her room and in the shower.
“Meagan!” Hazel called out to her which attracted the guests attention.
“Thank you for everything! I love you, best friend!” Hazel waved at her.
Meagan waved in return, she looked around the room for the last time before exiting the hall. She was heading back to her normal life. A lovely and happy family awaits her in Connecticut. A well paid job that she enjoys so much. And the comfort of her small rented apartment.
Once she leaves moon stone pack, the fantasy of being Allison the witch of Maridom would come to an end. Doctor Meagan Swift, the reality that she can never escape no matter the type of mask she tried to wear on her face or the camouflage on her skin.
She found Jones standing close to his car as he waited for her. “I just need to get my box at the guesthouse.” She said as she bounced down the few steps.
“Alright. The flight to Connecticut has been booked.” Jones opened the car door for her to get in.
He drove down to the guesthouse. Meagan rushed into her room, changed her heels to flat sandals and picked her things without leaving any item behind. Jones helped to put the box in the booth and they drove out of moon stone pack to the airport.
Meagan called her elder sister to check on the progress of their father. And Penelope informed her that their mom just signed a consent form for their dad to undergo a surgery. The medical team had managed to resuscitate Mr Swift after he suffered from a severe heart attack. Jones comforted Meagan as she cried her eyes out and prayed for her father.
Meagan was already on the plane to Connecticut when alpha Carl Damien returned back into the hall. His keen wolf eyes was quick to survey the large room but he couldn’t find her and she wasn’t at her table too.
Carl crossed the room to where Julius and his mate stood talking to some of Julius’s family members.
“Julius,” he called.
“Where have you been, Carl?” Julius snapped lowly at the alpha when he pulled away from the small group to have a chat. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
“I was at the infirmary with one of my nephews.” Carl answered.
“Meagan already left.” Julius blurted out when he noticed Carl’s eyes looking around the room to find someone.
“Left to where?! She is supposed to stay till Monday right?!” Carl questioned frantically.
Julius was surprised by the alpha’s sudden change of expression.
Soon Carl realized that he was overreacting which might raised Julius’s suspicion. “Where is she?” He sighed.
“She left to Connecticut.” Julius replied.
“Oh.. must be an emergency from work.” Carl mouthed with a forced smile on his face.
Julius shook his head in disagreement. “Her father is ill.” He recounted the same thing Meagan had told him.
Carl frowned deeply when he heard that it was Jones who booked the flight to Connecticut and also drove Meagan to the airport. It could have been him but Carl shrugged off the thought. He didn’t think that he would have been able to handle saying goodbye to the woman he had fun spending time with.
“Should I share her contact to you?” Julius asked.
“No, there won’t be any need to share her number to me. I am too busy to pay attention to any woman at the moment.” Carl answered.
Julius tried to protest but Carl cuts off his sentence. “I’ll be heading out now. I need to put something together for tomorrow’s full wolf moon celebration.” Carl said before turning away towards the exit doors.
The alpha concluded that the fantasy and secret adventure with the witch had finally come to an end and he may never get to see her again. But somehow his alpha wolf disagreed with his thoughts.
Meagan’s eyes glanced down at her hands as the announcement of landing in Connecticut sounded in the plane. Meagan realized that she had been clutching onto a white handkerchief all day long. It was the same one the alpha had given to her to wipe her tears at the mating rituals. Just when she thought that she didn’t have anything to remind her of the alpha except memories which she intend to not dwell on. But this handkerchief from him would remind her of everything she had done at moon stone pack.
Meagan concluded that she would dispose it.
