For some strange reason, Rodney was envious.

He heard that they would be having a celebration on a cruise ship.

Freya did not want to listen to him nag as he talked about his repentance.

If it were when they had just gotten divorced, she might have anticipated it. However, after being in a new relationship, she had completely let go of the past.

She only came for Sarah today.

"Let's go." Freya took Catherine's arm.

"Okay." Catherine understood when she saw that her best friend showed no other emotions apart from annoyance.

The three women walked past Rodney and headed toward the court's exit while holding hands.

A sob rose in Rodney's throat. He felt as if he had been slapped a few times across the face.

"Shaun, Chester..." He looked toward the two men behind bitterly.

Shaun gave him an indifferent, slanted gaze. "The phrase 'I'm sorry' isn't

allpowerful. You don't have to apologize. When some things have passed, people might no longer care about them anymore."

As for Chester, he did not say a word and just left with Shaun.

Rodney's body stiffened.

He understood the meaning of those words all too well.

However, that was why he felt afraid and fearful.
