Chapter 393
Chapter 393
Luca’s POV
The shock that had descended over me had been from my shock and unexpectedness of the situation,
and nothing more. I was quickly able to shake the shock off my shoulders, and both individuals had
broken out of the hug and were looking at me.
Feeling put in the spotlight when I least expected, I awkwardly cleared my throat.
“You don’t need to stop because of me, I was leaving right away anyway.” I called out and turned
around to exist the bedroom but Armani stopped me instantly.
“What? Why are you leaving? C’mon in!” He called out and I regarded Sofia for a few moments.
It was the first time I was laying my eyes on her today, and the sheer beauty of her face made my
breath slow down at the first few seconds. She had on a large sweater that’s literally swallowing her up
right now, and a pair of soft looking pants, while her hair was rolled up in a loose bun.
She didn’t look at me. Her eyes were averted the entire time, which was a reminder that I needed to fix
the thing between us as fast as possible.
That’s the reason why I had been looking for her around the house anyway.
“I only wanted to come check if you were home and nothing more.”
I supplied, lying through my teeth, the actual reason why I had thought of coming here, ways to ask if
he had seen Sofia this morning or not.
“Well now you can see that I’m at home, and you can hang around, you don't have to instantly leave as
soon as you had arrived here.” Armani pointed out and after some more back and forth, I ended up
giving in, closing the door after me and sinking into the seat a few feet away from the door.
In all honesty, I had mainly agreed because Sofia is in here and I wanted to keep staring at her face
some more, while also going over the plan I had in my head since when I had been working out this
morning, over and over again.
Now that I was in here, somehow, Sofia managed to completely curl up by the edge of the bed and to
turn completely around so she wouldn’t look at me either on purpose or my mistake, leaving me to
keep staring at her side profile.
It was like she knew how badly I wanted to look at her face and is now punishing me on purpose this
way.
I absentmindedly listened in on the conversation that had once continued between Armani and Sofia.
She chuckled softly a few times at what he said here and there, but she wasn’t fully adding into the
conversation, which I assumed is most likely because of my presence right now.
After a little while when a little blanket of silence had fallen over us, I began to speak. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
“Where were you yesterday, Armani? I don’t think I remember really seeing you yesterday.” I
questioned, having already remembered that I had barely set my eyes on Armani throughout the whole
of yesterday, and even at the exhibition center, cause if I had, he’d have most definitely been invited
along with the rest of the guys to the little celebration gathering that was held at one of my clubs.
“Oh, that was because I was taking care of something really important,” He responded and I lifted my
gaze at him a little, wondering what he could be referring to.
“I already knew I wasn’t going to be chanced, which was why I talked to Sofia about it, the day before
Saturday, and also why we were also talking before you arrived. I was apologizing once again for now
showing up because I knew I was supposed to be there, in order to support her emotionally and cheer
her on loudly.” Armani explained and as his words sank deeper into my head, so did it begin to make
me feel guilty, because I knew damn well that I hadn’t been there for Sofia like I was supposed to be,
yesterday.
“Oh.” I finally mumbled in response and he hummed before glancing down at Sofia who still wasn’t
sparing me a glance.
I guess I do deserve that.
Armani and I continued to talk some more and I briefly began to wonder if it’s currently obvious to
Armani that things are not all that perfect between Sofia and I.
I hope not.
He lingered some more and Sofia still didn’t glance at me. I briefly wondered if I should call her
attention and ask her to come have a conversation with me, but I decided against it after a little while
because I didn’t want to put her in the spotlight right now.
Not wanting to make her feel all uncomfortable and tense, like she couldn’t be free around Armani any
longer now that I was here, I decided to excuse myself, mumbling something about wanting to go work
out.
“Haven’t you already worked out today?” Armani demanded and I nodded my head.
“I actually have, but not enough, so I’ll go work out some more.”
Armani only pursed his lips for a moment before nodding his head in response.
“Hm, alright. I wanna talk to you later today, so I’ll come to you later today.” He called out and I let out a
hum.
“Sure, alright. I’m home throughout the whole of today.” I called out as I quietly shut the door after me.
Having already worked out today, I wasn’t in the mood to do that again, so I settled on hiding away in
my office for now.
Once Sofia is no longer with Armani and is on her own, I’ll be able to have that conversation with her.
For now, it just has to wait and there’s no two ways about it.
That’s literally the only way we can move forward from this mess, unless I talk it out with her.
I said to myself as I slumped into the chair.
