Chapter 36: Burned Everyone’s Bridges
Chapter 36: Burned Everyone’s Bridges
Sebastian shouted and fell on the couch as he saw the sharp light coming towards him.
But the next second, the sharp dagger passed through his ear. Then, Lawrence turned the dagger and
vigorously stabbed it on his leg.
Blood immediately flowed out from the wound.
“Mr. Harris!”
Jeffrey was shocked and he quickly rushed towards Lawrence. He reached out his hand to cover
Lawrence’s wound, but Lawrence stopped him.
He could only stand aside while gritting his teeth and warned Sebastian.
“Sebastian you old bastard, how dare you ask Mr. Harris to pay the price for your men? If there is
anything wrong with his legs, you are done!”
Sebastian was also terrified as he stared at Lawrence’s bleeding wound.
He knew that Lawrence had always been cruel to others, but he didn’t expect that Lawrence would be
so cruel to himself too. As soon as he got here, he burned all his and Sebastian’s bridges!
Just as Sebastian wanted to say something, he looked up and met Lawrence’s contemptuous gaze.
His gaze was deadly and full of oppression.
“Sincere enough? If not, there is more!”
Sebastian kept a straight face and he didn’t respond. Upon seeing his reaction, Lawrence frowned and
placed one of his hands on the coffee table. Then, he held the dagger up again and stabbed it on his
hand.
When the dagger fell on the back of his hand, Sebastian suddenly recovered from his surprise and he
quickly rushed over to stop him.
“You win, Lawrence! What a ruthless man!”
If his hand was left here, the Harris family definitely wouldn’t let the Martin family off!
...
Bang!
A loud noise sounded at the room door downstairs and a man rushed out from the hallway.
“Doctor! Where’s the doctor?”
Upon hearing that, Charlotte carefully went to the door and opened it. Charlotte saw that man dragging
the doctor towards the hallway through the crack of the door, “Hurry up, that man is injured and he’s
bleeding profusely.”
“It’s the first time I’ve met someone who is cruel to others but even cruel to himself. He’s paying such a
big price just to get a person from the master!”
As the man said that, he suddenly thought of something. He turned to his man and commanded him.
“By the way, take Miss Garcia downstairs. She’s worth 30 million! She must be the most valuable
woman that was taken from our master’s hands.”
Upon hearing that, Charlotte tightened her hand that was grabbing the door and trembled
uncontrollably.
30 million for a woman?
It turned out that the reason she got rescued was because she was a deal worth 30 million dollars!
Charlotte was dispirited and felt as if she had been cursed. No matter where she went, she could never
attain freedom.
Bang!
Charlotte slammed the door and locked herself in. Then, she stumbled all the way towards the window.
The bedsheets that had been twisted like a rope on the window, was prepared by her in advance.
She was still hesitating just now, thinking it was inappropriate to leave without saying a word for the
master had saved her anyway. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
But now...
She, gritting her teeth, climbed up the window and tightly grabbed the rope in her hands. Then, she
closed her eyes and jumped down in an instant.
Thump!
A clear noise sounded outside the window in one of the rooms on the first floor.
When the people in the room heard that noise, they saw a thin figure stumbling on the ground and
getting up towards the speedboat parked not far away.
People started bustling about in the room.
“Mr. Harris, it’s Miss Garcia!”
