Chapter 249

Bradley POV

Instead of Summer, Tammy went in the car. And this time again, the car was that of Damon. However, we were all very cautious, Matt’s bears were everywhere, trailing Tammy through the shadows.

When we told Matt about the plan, he said, “Just leave it to me.” He was so pissed at the thought that Tammy was personally getting into it, but my stubborn sister didn’t listen to him. He dispatched his warriors that night and along with our warriors, they all trailed my sister.

The driver had to take Summer to the outskirts of the pack where he had to deliver her to Morelli’s men. However, he changed his course and instead of going out toward Morelli’s men, he sped his car toward the Crimson Howl pack.

And this was Damon’s doom. He was in the trials, thinking that it was Summer who his driver was abducting, but in fact it was Tammy. Matt was mad, I was mad, and I swear my parents were madder than us. We all knew their history with Maris and Josh, but I also knew that they didn’t do a thing to them and kept them at a distance because it was Josh who made peace with them. But now–Damon had taken it too far.

‘Matt wants to attack the driver, and kill him!‘ Tammy giggled through the mind link.

‘Come back, Tammy,’ I growled. ‘I don’t like this at all!‘

‘No way. This is turning out to be so much more fun. I love the way Matt is chasing me,‘ she replied with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes. These two loved their cat and mouse game. ‘What do you plan to do?‘ I asked.

‘I will play along with the driver and go to the Crimson Howl pack. I want to know what they are planning on doing.

‘That’s risky!‘

‘Nah. Not with Matt following me,‘ she replied confidently.

I shook my head. ‘I am sending more warriors.’

‘You don’t have to,‘ she replied nonchalantly. ‘Dad has already sent them. They are following us.‘

Third POV

The next day while everything was very quiet at the Shadowfang pack with all the contestants excited about the final trials, there was chaos in the Crimson Howl pack. The driver took Tammy to a secure location. She waited patiently over there for whatever had to come next. Matt, in the meanwhile, was cursing away to glory, agitated as hell. A few hours later, Damon came to where she was and according to Tammy, his shock was priceless.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

Tammy shrugged. “Waiting for you.”

What ensued was a fearless rescue. Maris and Josh were both stunned by what their son did. Matt attacked Damon, accusing him of abducting his wife. Damon had to defend himself and couldn’t even reveal that he actually wanted Summer, and not Tammy. He tried to wiggle his way out by saying that this was a mistake, but the driver spilled the beans.

Matt rescued Tammy, and much to Maris’s horror, he said that he would take this to the council. Damon was disqualified from the Luna trials for life. Maris and Josh were petrified that if this went to the council, they would catch Damon and throw him in the dungeons.

Matt and Damon had a fierce fight in which Damon was so badly injured that he couldn’t wake up for the next two days.

Maris cried and cried, asking Matt to spare Damon, but he didn’t. Once he had knocked Damon to unconsciousness, he said that Alpha Lucien knows what he did, and he has already approached the High Council.

Two days later, we heard that Damon was missing from the Crimson Howl pack. My father sent trackers and warriors to hunt him down.

As for Morelli, he was furious when instead of Summer, he saw one of the warrior girls. Father was smart in his game. He had called the human authorities and informed them that Morelli had abducted one of the female wolves, and was about to enslave her for his nefarious activities. The human council had immediately cracked upon him for violating the treaty. They caught him red–handed and tossed him in the prison. Morelli couldn’t believe that Alpha Lucien had tricked him so smartly that he couldn’t escape.

Not only that, my father had told them about Laura. What she did and how she used her maid, Summer, for Luna trials? This further infuriated the human council. They were about to terminate the agreement, when father offered them a way out, saying that Summer could continue as a human candidate in the trials.

Laura heard about her father going into the prison. When she reached the human town, she realized that all her wealth had disappeared. Most of her family was in prison, and some were awaiting trials. She went to her relatives to take her in, but they all turned their back on her. Not even her so–called friends helped her. She was abandoned, penny less and without family. Afraid that if she met her father, the police would catch her as well. So she left the town. However, she lucked out, because our wolves found her, and handed her to the police. She tried to hit them, claw them, scream, and shout, but her strength was nothing against them.

With Laura, Morelli and Damon dealt with, Bradley focused on the Luna trials.

The contestants walked to stand in front of the podium in the main hall as Judge Cody looked at them.

Bradley could stop smiling as he watched Summer standing there with confidence. He had told her that she had nothing to worry. And this morning he showed her a news clip which said that Morelli was finally taken to the jail. She was beyond happy as she launched herself at him. He hugged her immediately, knowing that her happiness, her joy was worth all of it. When he pressed a kiss to her lips, she didn’t hesitate in opening herself to him. That small element of fear he always sensed was completely gone.

She didn’t have to be at the final trials because he had already chosen her, but Luna Auren had insisted that Summer be present at the final trials. As the future Luna of the Shadowfang pack, she had to lead by example.noveldrama
