Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover

Chapter 1075

Grant steadied himself as he stood, still feeling a little light-headed.

The pastor turned away, lighting another stick of incense. After a moment of silent prayer, he looked back at Grant and said, "I'm planning a ceremony at Zen Heart Temple. I want you to invite the heads of all four major families. I need to confront the Sartori family in front of everyone. If this really is all just a misunderstanding, then let's let the past stay in the past and move on."

Grant looked confused. "If you want to confront them, isn't it enough to just invite Jeffery and Nemo? Why bring in the heads of all four families?"

But then it clicked for him. Maybe the pastor wanted witnesses-people who could see the truth for themselves.

The pastor continued, "When you invite them, tell them that if this really was just a misunderstanding, I'll open up the century-old treasure of the four families. We'll split it evenly between our Ballard Group and the four families, just like our ancestors promised a hundred years ago."

Grant's eyes went wide in shock. His father had rarely spoken of the treasure, but Grant knew a little-he remembered his father poring over old maps night after night when he was a kid. The legends had always sounded like fairy tales.noveldrama

He hesitated. "But... the key to the treasure..."

He knew the truth: out of the four keys, the Shaw family's emerald pendant, the Sartori family's emerald pendant, and the Gilbert family's dragon plaque were all, by some twist of fate, now in Chloe's hands. Only the Nagel family's peace pendant was still with them.

The pastor's voice was gentle. "Just tell your junior the truth. She'll bring the keys."

The next time Chloe saw Grant, he was walking-no wheelchair, no limp, just a confident stride. They'd already heard the truth from Amelia: Grant's legs had healed a long time ago.

The meeting was at Pure White. Chloe and Connor had put together a dinner, and all the Shaw brothers were there. Isaac and Taylor sat side by side It was the first time they'd seen each other since their last painful goodbye, and both of them had tears in their eyes.

Isaac clung to Taylor's hand, looking like a kicked puppy. "Taylor, I missed you so much I think I lost weight."

When Grant showed up at the door, Taylor quickly pulled her hand back and stood up, flustered. "Big brother," she greeted softly.

The truth was, Taylor was torn. Maybe the feud between the Grevenberg and Sartori families was just a big misunderstanding. Who knew what would happen next? Her future with Isaac was as uncertain

as ever. n

Isaac stood too, suddenly all polite and proper. "Big brother," he echoed.

Grant didn't say a word. He just looked around the room, then his gaze landed on Chloe.

Chloe was dressed simply today—a high ponytail, plain white T-shirt, sky blue jeans. She looked casual, fresh, and effortlessly pretty. Her face was bare, but somehow that only made her more beautiful.

For a moment, Grant just stared.

After all these years, time seemed to have forgotten her. When they'd first met, Chloe was only a middle schooter, already quietly stunning in her own way. Other than her face being a little less mature back then, she really hadn't change at all.
