Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1611

"You think you have any right to speak here?" Fiona couldn't help but chuckle. She didn't bother to explain herself but turned to the police officer instead. "I called the cops. She's messing with a doctor's duties, slandering people, and falsely accusing me of murder. I'm not settling this quietly."

The woman was taken aback, staring at Fiona in disbelief. This woman had some nerve!

"What kind of doctor are you? You're only fifteen or sixteen. How can you possibly be qualified to practice medicine?"

Just then, the hospital director stepped in and showed Fiona's provisional medical license. The woman was stunned, and even the police hadn't expected Fiona to actually have medical credentials.

With a thud, the woman dropped to her knees, about to beg for mercy, but Fiona turned away. She figured the patient should be waking up around now. Her plea was wasted.

As Fiona reached the patient's room, she saw him sitting on the bed, staring blankly ahead, his eyes unfocused.

"You're awake. How are you feeling?" Fiona asked as she entered, observing him for a moment before speaking again. "You'll need to stay in the hospital for a few more days."

"You shouldn't have saved me. I might as well be dead." His face was pale, tears streaming down his cheeks as he took a deep breath. "They're using my condition to make money, raking it in without a thought for my suffering."

"When I treated you, I noticed your body was severely depleted. If you can't eat much, don't force it. Inducing vomiting is harmful, and your stomach's already in bad shape."

Fiona didn't say more. It wasn't her place to judge someone else's life.

"Healing is my duty. Your life is yours to decide."

With that, Fiona fell silent.

Jackson walked in, ruffling her hair affectionately. "She's been taken away. She'll be held for at least a few weeks, though they're making quite a fuss."

"You'll help me, won't you, brother?" She looked up, her big eyes sparkling like precious gems.

"Of course."

Fiona continued playing her game. Her visit to the hospital today was just to fulfill her upcoming Sunday shift early. Since it wasn't the end of the day, she couldn't leave yet.

"Be careful in the future. Given their nature, they won't let you off easily," the man on the bed sighed weakly. "They have tens of thousands of followers, mostly mindless fans. If they're stirred up and misled, you could be in trouble. If you can, get out of here. If they can't find you, you'll be safe."noveldrama

"Maybe you should focus on your own well-being first," Fiona replied with a slight smile.

Just then, her phone chimed with a new message. It was a notification about the designer competition. After much thought, Fiona had decided to enter. Yvenne was bold to use her designs without permission, but what really got under Fiona's skin was Yvenne's disrespect toward Nash's mother.
