Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn)

Chapter 351

Joshua's voice was rich and sultry, with a husky edge that made Allison's heart skip a beat. He was definitely doing it on purpose. Allison's cheeks flushed, though it was more from irritation than anything else.

"How could you miss that massive shredder over there?" Allison snapped.

"Where?"

"Right there." Without thinking, Allison turned to point, and her lips accidentally brushed against Joshua's. Surprised, she jumped up. "Joshua!"

He had leaned in just as she turned, making their lips meet.

Allison was fuming, "Can you stop fooling around? I'm really busy and don't have time for your games."

Seeing she was genuinely upset, Joshua toned it down. He picked up the pile of discarded papers, his tone soothing, "Don't be mad, Allison. I honestly didn't see it."

"Yeah, right!" Allison retorted, her face burning and her voice rising.

Joshua walked over to the shredder nearby, feeding the papers in a few sheets at a time. "Come on, Allie, don't be mad. How about I make it up to you with dinner at your favorite barbecue spot tonight?"

"No way!"

Just then, someone knocked at the door. Allison took a deep breath to calm herself before speaking, "Come in."

It was Watson, dressed sharply in a suit with gold-rimmed glasses, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "When did Mr. Fisher start doing assistant work?"

Turning to Allison, he teased, "Allison, since when does our firm have the clout to hire the CEO of Fisher Corporation for odd jobs?"

Allison wasn't in the mood for jokes. Her expression darkened, and her tone showed her annoyance, "Some people just have too much free time."

Noticing her displeasure, Watson's playful demeanor softened, and he asked with concern, "Is something wrong? Did something upset you?"

Before Allison could respond, Joshua cut in, "She's busy, and you're interrupting her work. How could she be happy about that?"

Allison: "..."

Watson looked momentarily taken aback. "Should I leave then?"

"Yeah, maybe you should," Joshua waved him off dismissively.

"Can you stop causing trouble?" Allison directed her words at Joshua.

Joshua fell silent, standing there quietly, shredding papers.noveldrama

Watson glanced between Allison and Joshua. Joshua met his gaze with a smile.

Suddenly, Watson noticed a smudge of red at the corner of Joshua's mouth. The color extended from his lower lip diagonally towards his chin. Watson's eyes darkened. He looked up to meet Joshua's eyes, noticing the hint of defiance and pride in them.

Lowering his gaze, Watson's tone lost its earlier warmth, "I'll let you get back to work, Allison."

With that, Watson turned and left. Joshua smirked and continued shredding.

Allison was puzzled, wondering what had caused Watson's sudden change in demeanor. She turned,

eyeing Joshua suspiciously. Thenet

man kept his head down, humming

a tune while shredding papers, every bit of him exuding contentment.

Allison stared at Joshua, trying to figure out Watson's reaction. Noticing her gaze, Joshua chuckled, "You say you don't like it, but your eyes are pretty honest."

Allison blushed, "What nonsense are you spouting?"

"I said your eyes are honest, can't help but look my way," Joshua looked up, meeting Allison's gaze with a cheeky grin, "What, did you take it the wrong way?"

"Who took it the wrong way? Don't put words in my mouth!"

Just then, Allison spotted the red smear at the corner of his mouth. She froze on the spot. Her lipstick had smudged onto him! Watson had seen it!
