LUNA QUEEN 421
Chapter 421
Kane’s feelings right now are really complicated. The guilt he felt towards Seraphina six years ago is now mixed with disgust and hatred after the truth came out, tearing him apart.
He was planning to make Seraphina pay the price, to completely end this grudge, but what he got in the end was her.
Celia looked at his broken appearance and muttered quietly “Guess it’s all fate…”
Kane glanced at her, composed himself, walked to the sofa, and threw a stack of documents on the table. “I remember the company has a project in Portland ‘next month, right?”
Celia came to her senses and nodded, “Yes, but didn’t you reject it before?”
He spun the wedding ring on his ring finger, “I’m not rejecting it, let’s move the project forward.”
Celia guessed he was going to Portland, hesitated for a moment, “What about Seraphina…”
“Keep watching.”
Celia didn’t say anything anymore, she left the bedroom.
Kane’s gaze fell on the mating ring, his eyes growing deeper
In his dictionary, there’s no word “bond dissolution.”
It rained heavily in Portland all night.
Outside the window, lightning flashed like daylight, tearing through the sky, and the sound of thunder woke up Aria.
She turned on the bedside lamp, and the dim bedroom was instantly bathed in warm yellow light. The digital clock
on the cabinet showed five o’clock in the morning.
Aria had her palm on her forehead, and her body was soaked in cold sweat.
She hasn’t dreamed about that terrible experience for many years.
She didn’t expect to dream about it again.
After daybreak, the rain stopped.
Aria was very tired and not feeling well when she arrived at the hospital because she hadn’t slept well.

Chapter 421.
Lynette had Wallace show her around the department. As they left the office, Wallace asked with concern, “Are you feeling unwell today? Your Tace looks so pale.”
She shook her head, smiling as she explained, “I was so nervous on my first day at work in a new environment that i couldn’t sleep well.” noveldrama
“Which hospital were you in before?”
“Silverstone Medical Center.”
“Isn’t Silverstone great?” Wallace looked at her puzzled, “A lot of people I know have gone to Silverstone for opportunities.”
Aria smiled and said, “Silverstone is nice, but the pace of life just doesn’t suit me.”
Wallace suddenly realized and replied, “Yeah, Portland is great, perfect for retirement!”
The two of them visited the inpatient department and also inspected the critically ill patients in the ICU. Wallace said there was a patient who had been in the ICU for over three years, in a state of brain death, only surviving with the help of a ventilator.
The family refused to accept the fact that their relative had passed away. Luckily, they had enough money to keep
- the child alive. If the patient was from an ordinary family, they would have probably gone to make funeral arrangements long ago.
Aria has seen a lot of brain–dead patients like this, thinking of Charlie, Charlie is considered lucky.
“Prof. Morrison, are you free tonight?”
Wallace and Aria walked out of the ward, and, unfortunately, ran into Nigel and Penelope.
Nigel was flipping through the medical records at the nurse’s station in the hospital. He was tall and had a straight back, and his white coat was neatly tied.
Penelope stood next to him, knowing he was a clean freak, not letting people get close, and also keeping a certain
distance.
She was staring at Nigel like crazy, her eyes almost glued to him.
“No time,” Nigel didn’t even look up.
Penelope felt a bit down, but she kept pushing forward.
Wallace clicked his tongue, leaned towards Aria, and whispered, “Dr. Levin has a crush on Nigel, too bad she’s wasting those flirtatious looks on him everyday.”
