I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 543

Chapter 543 The Cost

A sly smile appeared on Frank's face, the depths of his eyes darkening with meaning as he spoke. "Benjamin, do you know why she didn't tell you about the pregnancy right away? Have you ever wondered why she kept it from you? Or are you so certain that the child is yours and not someone else's? We've been together every day; surely you understand what 'familiarity breeds fondness' means, right?"

Frank added, "Moreover, why didn't she make any moves or tell you anything after she knew I was targeting the Martin Group and you? Haven't you ever thought about why? If she genuinely didn't care about me, she could have told you everything the moment she found out instead of waiting until you discovered it yourself."

Throughout Frank's entire talk, Benjamin remained utterly still and unresponsive, his face extremely grim as he kept his eyes fixed on Frank as he spoke.

Benjamin's expression pleased Frank immensely, his words becoming more and more unrestrained, more and more unguarded, with no intention of stopping.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

With a grin, Frank continued, "Benjamin, do you even consider yourself a man? If I were you, I wouldn't dare admit it, aren't you embarrassed that your subordinates know? Do you think you've won? You've actually lost, the most miserably and thoroughly." As Frank's last word fell, he was not met with words from Benjamin but a heavy punch that knocked him to the ground.

Frank had no time to react before Benjamin grabbed him by the collar and lifted him off the ground. His handsome face showed none of its usual gentleness and elegance, only a thick, fierce ferocity that he did not attempt to hide.

Without giving Frank any chance to resist, Benjamin followed the first punch with a second.

The sound of bone hitting bone echoed in the garage, each hit sending shivers of fear.

Curtis stood by with two bodyguards, ready to intervene if necessary.

However, seeing the situation, it was clear Benjamin had the upper hand, and no help was needed.

Benjamin's eyes gleamed with a chilling murderous intent as he glared at Frank, his voice cold and taunting, "You were quite the talker, weren't you? Look at what you've been reduced to now."

Just as Frank, caught off guard initially, began to gather himself to retaliate.

Upon seeing this, Curtis stepped forward to intervene, but Benjamin waved him off with a faint smile. "No need, I can handle this weasel alone."

Frank didn't gain any advantage, and although Benjamin took him down hard, draining much of his energy, he ultimately took a hit to the cheek from Frank. However, his injury was far lighter compared to what Frank endured.

Eventually, Frank was on the ground,

utterly drained of any strength to retaliate, his face marred with cuts and his mouth bleeding. Benjamin stood over him dominantly, kicked him lightly, and issued a chilling warning, "You better cleanse yourself of those filthy words and deceitful, twisted thoughts in your heart. If I hear your nonsense again, it won't be as simple as today."

He reached out to Curtis, who promptly handed him a wet wipe. Benjamin methodically cleaned his well-defined fingers, then

disdainfully threw the wipe ons net

Frank's face. His actions and

demeanor were humiliating, and his warning grew more intense.

"I don't care whether you've ever been with her or not, nor do I care if she loves me. She is my wife now and you, Frank, a scoundrel like you, don't even deserve to stand in Ker presence. So what gives you the right to strut around me?"
