Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back

Chapter 363

Seeing Elian's expression, Larry couldn't help but feel a mischievous twinge of amusement.

"Why not?" he teased. "I've heard that girls these days have pretty high

standards. Take someone like Mira, for instance; she must have a ton of admirers. Maybe she just mentioned it offhand."

Elian's face turned even colder, and his tone lost any trace of respect. "Oh, give it a rest, will you? You're not saying anything I want to hear."

Larry chuckled. He used to think Elian was as emotionally stunted as an iron-tree. Who would've guessed this tree could actually bloom?

"Alright, I'll stop messing with you. How's it feel to be back?"noveldrama

Elian shrugged, "Not much, feels just like before. Some people need a good shaking up, though."

Elian's demeanor had shifted completely, emitting a sharp and cutting aura. His voice remained calm, but there was an unmistakable intensity that could unnerve anyone.

"Luckily, they didn't lose their edge these past three years. Otherwise, it wouldn't just be a simple scolding for them," he said, his voice carrying a chilling authority that even made Larry feel a twinge of sympathy for the Viper Squad.

No wonder everyone at Fort Titan called him the Ice Judge-not as one of them, but as if he embodied the title alone. It was clear just how deeply he'd impacted the warriors at Fort Titan mentally.

Yet, oddly enough, he was the only one who could keep those guys in line. Otherwise, during his years at Zephra, the top brass wouldn't have been calling so frequently.

It took a tough guy to keep the tough guys in line. And once they were used to it, they'd only listen to their own brand of tough guy.

"They're glad to have you back. There was some concern that what happened four years ago might have been too much, that you wouldn't want to return," Larry sighed.

Elian's eyes flashed with a brief, unreadable emotion.

"But it wasn't just on you. It left a mark on the entire division," Larry went on, speaking slowly. "You need to remember your decision was

right. You didn't do anything wrong."

MS

"Enough," Elian cut him off, his voice steady. "No need to give me the talks. I got tired of those comforting words back then."

He didn't think he'd done anything

wrong. He just couldn't get past it himself. That place, like hell itself,

to someday.

ere he knew he'd return

"I have a meeting with the division tomorrow, but today I came by mainly to see how you're doing. Seeing you all recovered puts my mind at ease."

Larry wisely chose not to press further. "Mira's all set with the Titans. No one at Virell will give her a hard time. Beyond that, I'm not sure."

Elian nodded. "I don't get much time away, and Miranda's new to Virell. Please look after her like she's your own granddaughter."

Larry pursed his lips. "You don't need to say that. Plenty of folks already wish they could call her their own."

Elian flashed a proud smile. "Can't help it, my future wife's just that charming."

Larry was left speechless. "Future wife, huh? Has she even agreed to that?" he thought. This brat really...

The next day, Miranda met with Beck as planned.

"So, Miranda, have you thought about what I asked you to consider?" Beck asked, his demeanor warm and inviting.

"Our department is just missing a talent like you. As I said, we can provide whatever you need."

Miranda took a sip of her latte, not responding immediately.

"You're under military protection now, but really hope you'll join our team. We're open and flexible. All

you'd need to do is officially join us,"

Beck coaxed smoothly.
