Chapter 50 Terminate the Contract
Chapter 50 Terminate the Contract
Eva was very happy and didn't find anything wrong with holding on to Mr. Livingstone. Caleb had a
doting smile on his face when he was looking at the girl in his arms, he didn't want to remind her, that
this kind of intimacy was hard to earn.
Eva calmed down, released Caleb in embarrassment, touched her head sheepishly, and started staring
at the computer screen again.
Caleb smiled. "What are you going to do about this?"
"I don't want to announce it now, but if things get a little more heated in a few days, Sheila will be even
more devastated by then," Eva thought gloomily.
She thought that after today, Sheila would be beaten in the face by herself, and Eva would feel bitter
and happy. She was not a soft-hearted girl. She had always been a vindictive person and would never
let herself be compromised.
"Eva, have you ever thought about quitting the company?" Caleb had wanted to say this for a long
time, and Nathan had been urging Eva to quit the company and sign up with Luxstar.
Nathan was for his own selfish reasons, and as general manager of Luxstar, he was eager to retain
talent for his company. Moreover, he also was well-intentioned; he wanted to help his brother court
Eva.
If Eva signed into Luxstar, it will be easier for his brother to do whatever he wants after that, and it will
be easier to help Eva to handle some things.
Oh, poor Nathan, the brother who worried so much for Caleb.
"Oh, I had thought of terminating the contract, but I am not popular now. If I terminate the contract, no
company would sign me. Besides, if I cancel the contract unilaterally, I'll have to pay five million in
breach of contract. How can I get so much money?” Eva looks sad too.
Eva's acting was unquestionable, and with the right resources, it was only a matter of time before she
becomes a star, but the manager, in order to pander to Sheila, followed Sheila's lead and went all the
way to suppress Eva's development. Every time she picks up unlikable roles like mistress, prostitutes.
"If you terminate the contract, you can sign with Luxstar."
"Boss, are you recruiting me yourself?" Eva heard Caleb's words and asked Caleb with a smile.
"Sort of."
"I'll have to terminate the contract first."
"I have a proposition for you."
Eva's eyes lit up when she heard Caleb was going to give her advice.
After hearing Caleb's suggestion, Eva exclaimed, the CEO was CEO for a reason.
Eva went ahead with the plan, and the thought of Sheila's livid face made her laugh.
Sheila, still recovering in the hospital, was reprimanding her assistant, Lindsay Pappademas.
Lindsay felt very aggrieved. Originally the Doctor said there was no need for her to be hospitalized, but
Sheila insisted on staying in the hospital. Now Brody didn't come to see her, so she began to get angry
at her. She stood nearby and dared not to speak out.
"Ding, Ding!" Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Sheila stopped yelling when her cell phone rang, thinking Brody had sent her the message and clicked
on it with joy. Her face grew darker and darker, and her eyes could literally pop a hole in her phone.
Lindsay had already learned to read people's faces and left the room before Sheila lost her temper
again.
When Sheila saw the news, her whole body shook with anger and she smashed everything she could
in the room.
It's a mess.
Renee came in, saw the look on Sheila's face, knew what was going on, and before she could ask
questions, she was verbally abused by Sheila.
"You're useless. You can't do a single thing right."
"What's going on? What's going on? What's the entire ruckus?" Renee asked Sheila with a smile, even
as she was scolded.
"How dare you ask me?!" Sheila threw the phone at Renee.
Renee's face changed when she saw the news. "I arranged for Lindsay to transfer the money from an
overseas account. How did Eva find out about this?"
You sent that email from your apartment, and you should blame yourself for it.
Renee thought about it, but she didn't have the guts to say it.
"So should we give her five million or she'll go public," Renee asked, looking at Sheila.
Sheila didn't want her money in other people's pockets, especially Eva.
"Do what she says and give her five million," Sheila said, gritting her teeth.
Sheila wisely chose her fame and future over her money, and Caleb knew this when he advised Eva to
do so.
Five million for Sheila was more or less within her means, and just enough for Eva to pay the liquidated
damages.
Sheila's PA did her job quickly, and soon five million was on Eva's account.
Eva looked at the five million in her account, and her eyes smiled like a crescent moon, she could
make Sheila pay, and it made her so happy.
The next day Eva is ready to go to HYJAK Entertainment to terminate the contract, Caleb worried Eva
could not handle them on her own, so he sent the company's best lawyer Dwayne Clements to go with
Eva.
HYJAK Entertainment Reception Room.
Seeing Eva arrive, Renee began to sneer, "You are not a celebrity yet but start to act like one now?
And asked me to wait here for you."
Eva just ignored it, and now that she's immune to Renee's words, she went right to the point, and she
told her why she was there.
"What, you want to terminate the contract?" Hering Eva's words, Renee was a little incredulous. "Can
you afford to pay the liquidated damages? Don't think I don't know how much money you make a year."
"Don't worry about it," Eva motioned, and Dwayne put the check on the table.
"You want to terminate the contract, so be it!" Renee threw Eva a dozen termination agreements.
Eva took it and looked at it, and it said twenty million.
This is a robbery!
Renee watched Eva's shock with pride, and she knew Eva couldn't afford that kind of money.
Renee did not gloat for a few minutes, but Dwayne opened his mouth after reading the termination
agreement.
Dwayne one by one clearly explained the unreasonable compensation policies that were imposed on
Eva, he made the lawyer on the other side dumbfounded. Looking at him, speechless, Eva was so
impressed by him.
After much convincing from Dwayne, Eva finally terminated the contract without paying a penny more.
Finally got rid of HYJAK Entertainment, also got rid of Renee, Eva's mood was surprisingly good,
humming along the way out of HYJAK Entertainment.
"Mr. Clements, thank you so much, otherwise I really couldn't terminate the contract." Eva thanked
Dwayne.
"You're welcome; I just did what Mr. Livingstone told me to do." After that, he bid his farewell politely
and left.
