And now she was here. He had regretted not asking for her number. He had regretted not trying at least to ask her on a date…. Maybe see if they could make their one night stand adventure a little longer, and now it was like he had been given another chance with her. He wouldn’t screw it up, he decided. And he had a feeling that this was going to fun.
He waited for her to see him.
Would she even remember him? He suddenly wondered, Or was this something she usually did? Sleep with a random guy she had no plans to see again?
Raymond Darcy was speaking again, and Dimitri forced himself to concentrate.
“….. I would like to introduce you all to my daughter, Kelly Darcy. Who will be joining us from today. She’s an amazing human with a wonderful personality and I know you are all going to enjoy working with her”
Dimitri smiled at that last comment. Oh, he planned to enjoy working with her alright, he thought.
Kelly smiled at her father, before turning to the people seated at the conference table. “I’m so excited…. and nervous, I have to admit, to be here. But I assure you all that I have the company’s best interests at heart and I look forward to working with you all… ” she said, with a huge smile plastered on her face.
A smile that died when she dared to look at the faces of the people she was addressing, and her eyes fell on a particular one.

Kelly had been nervous about the meeting
…. Nervous about joining the company and taking control when she knew nothing about it. She wasn’t quite sure what she expected, but it definitely wasn’t to see the man she had a one night stand with seated in the room.
Her eyebrows raised slightly and her brown eyes widened in surprise. She almost gasped, but stopped herself immediately, reminding herself that she was standing In front of the company’s staff. Her voice and breath crowded into her throat like an angry mob, strangling her for a long, panicked moment, and horizontal lines formed on her forehead.
Still, she didn’t look away as a parade of vivid, explicit images of the evening she had spent with the man flooded her brain. Her belly clenched, a dark swirl of desire eddying far south of her navel. Flashes of those lust-drenched hours burst in her head like fire-works across a dark July night.
Dimitri kneeling before her legs In her car, his lips glistening with the evidence of the desire he’d coaxed out of her with that same talented mouth. Dimitri leaning over her, his hands gripping her waist, his big body moving over hers…in hers. The sharp angles and planes of his face as she rode him the second time. The way his cock felt and swelled when he came inside her.
Heat rushed up her chest and throat and poured into her face. She looked away from him and swallowed hard, trying to conceal the flush that surely stained her cheekbones.
But he saw.
Dimitri saw because he had been watching her closely. Saw her reaction to him…. Every expression on her face. And he knew exactly what she was thinking about. He knew that she remembered…. She remembered him alright. The realization excited him. Why, he wasn’t quite sure.
“Isn’t that right Kelly?”
Kelly heard her father say, and she realized that he was still talking and she hadn’t heard a word he said or what he had asked her, so she simply nodded her head in agreement.
From the corner of her eyes, she saw Dimitri grin. The bastard, she thought. She wanted to kill him.
She was uncomfortable throughout the meeting, mostly because Dimitri Collins wouldn’t stop staring at her with those piercing eyes of his. Everytime she looked in his direction, he was watching like a hawk.
And he knew. She knew that he knew that he was making her uncomfortable with his gaze, and that he was enjoying her discomfort. She couldn’t wait for the meeting to be over, so she could find out what business he had with Darcy Enterprises, and probably find a way to put an end to it.

The meeting was finally over, and as soon as she had a small talk with some of the company staff, Kelly was already to go. She had already grabbed her bag, ready to avoid the embarrassing and awkward situation that she knew would be created if she spoke to Dimitri Collins.
She wasn’t able to execute her plan though and she groaned inwardly when her father suggested that she and Dimitri stayed in the conference room after the others left.
“Honey,” her father began when there was no one else in the room except the three of them, “I would like you to meet Dimitri Collins, he’s an investor and shareholder and I have known him for four years” he turned to Dimitri, “And Dimitri, this is my daughter, Kelly Darcy. Kelly is, as you will soon find out for yourself, a very smart young lady and is great at everything she does”
“Oh I’m sure she is,” Dimitri drawled, recalling her epic performance on stage, and she knew that he was being obnoxious enough for her to notice. He stood, and extended his hand to her.
“It’s really nice to meet you…. Kelly” he said, like they hadn’t met before, savoring her name as if it were some rich chocolate dessert. “Such a lovely name. And it fits you.”
That voice… she thought, and a current of something dark and sultry blasted through her as she shook his hand.
Her eyes widened, an emotion he would’ve labeled panic flaring in their depths before she lowered her lashes, hiding her gaze from him. Again.
“Thank you, Mr Collins. it’s nice to meet you too,” she replied stiffly. He still hadn’t let go of her hand and Kelly slid her hand out of his with more force than necessary, like it burned to keep her hand in his, and she saw him grin. She wanted to slap that smug smile off his face, but she decided to ignore him and they all took their seats. He could grin all he wanted, she thought.
