Mommy 36
“What should I do now?”
Jenna’s agent was so anxious that she broke out in a cold sweat. “What should I do? If Jenna loses the bet, is she really going to strip herself in front of the whole crew?” she wondered.
The designer looked embarrassed as she continued, “This bag is real, but…”
She exchanged glances with Jenna and her agent.
Their weird reaction caused Kamryn to laugh and ask, “Have you finished?”
The agent turned back and snorted. “Alice has got the conclusion. She said the bag was a knockoff. I’m sure you know what to do next, right?”
She was urging Kamryn to fulfill her promise.
“Are you saying that the designer has checked the bag and concluded it was a knockoff?”
“Yes. What else could it be? Like I said, a knockoff can never become an authentic one.”
“Just forget it.”
Jenna stopped her agent. “Don’t push her too hard. Can we really make her strip herself in front of the crew? She will be too embarrassed to show her face here again.”
Her words won her admiration from those who didn’t know the truth.
“She is such a kind girl. Even though she won the bet, she still let Kamryn off.”
“She has always been so nice. It’s a pleasure to work with her.”
“Yes, she is very nice to her agent, assistant, and makeup artist.”
Voices of praise resounded throughout the room.
However, Kamryn could tell that Jenna’s kindness was feigned.
“No.”
She said in a flat tone, “If this bag is fake, I don’t mind stripping myself and broadcasting it to the whole world.”
“But the designer has already said the bag is fake.”
“Really? Is this bag really fake?”
Kamryn’s tone suddenly turned icy as she continued, “Don’t you feel ashamed to lie as the chief designer of Hermes?”
A bang of guilt struck the designer.
She remained silent.
She couldn’t bring herself to lie since the bag was real. She felt so anxious that she simply shut her mouth.
Now, she wanted to keep silent even more after hearing Kamryn’s question.
“Are you challenging Alice? Are you qualified to challenge her if she says this bag is fake?”
Kamryn looked at Alice but said to the agent, “Did she say it was fake?”
The agent didn’t know how to reply.
Jenna clenched her fists. She felt like she was holding a wolf by the ears.
Alice’s back broke out in a cold sweat.
She was there to watch the fun, but to her surprise, the bag was real. She had just promised Jenna in secret that she wouldn’t tell the truth. But she couldn’t bring herself to lie working as a designer.
So she had planned to keep silent on the matter and stay out of it. However, Kamryn threw a question at her directly.
That rendered her in a dilemma.

“This bag is a co–branded one, so what she said couldn’t count. I won’t be convinced unless the designer of the co–branded series tells me the bag is a knockoff.”
“You…”
“Don’t push your luck, Kamryn. I’ve shown enough respect for you, and I suggest you not ask for trouble,” Jenna said with anger.
“Well, I will face whatever consequences I brought upon myself. So you can stop pretending to be kind to cover up the facts.”
Jenna’s agent rolled her eyes, and an idea suddenly came into her mind. She shouted, “Wait, haven’t you lost your Hermes bag, Jenna? That one looks exactly the same as this one.”
Jenna immediately understood what the agent was trying to do. She echoed, “Yes, I did have a limited–edition Hermes bag, but I lost it in the dressing room.”
“Could it be…”
The agent looked at Kamryn with a suspicious face and said, “Could it be that someone stole it?”
Kamryn was shocked.
Everyone in the room was stunned as well.
“Yes, I remembered that Jenna had such a bag. It seemed she didn’t use it these days.”
“Is it stolen? Is it Kamryn that…”
The sentence was left unfinished, but the implication was obvious.
The crew would rather believe Kamryn stole the bag from Jenna than believe she could afford to buy one.
But the fact was that Jenna had put her bag back in her home for it was so precious.
Yet she still managed to convince everyone that Kamryn had stolen the bag from her.
Kamryn found it unbelievable and ridiculous.
She had never thought that Jenna would slander her like that.
And it was the second time that Jenna had done so.
Five years ago, she managed to have Kamryn kicked out of the Ramsey family with the same means.
Kamryn never expected Jenna to play the trick again.
She sneered, made a call with her phone, and put it on speaker.
Her action made everyone wonder who she was calling. Soon, they heard the ringtone of 911.
“Hello, this is 911. What is your emergency?”
“Hello. I’m at Pinewood. A woman claimed that she lost a bag. Could you please come and investigate it?”
“What are you doing, Kamryn?” NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
Jenna was nervous and tried to seize Kamryn’s phone.
Kamryn warded her hands off swiftly and walked to a corner to report the details to the receptionist, who assured her that the police of the district would be there soon.
The moment Kamryn hung up, Jenna screamed at her, “Are you out of your mind? What you just did is the pot calling the kettle black. Just admit it if you stole my bag, and I won’t go hard on you. Why call the police?”

“What do you mean by the pot calling the kettle black? You lost an expensive bag, and I kindly called the police for you. And now you are accusing me because of that?”
“You…”
“The police will be here soon, and everything will come to light. I believe the police will tell you if I’ve stolen your bag or not.”
Jenna was drenched in cold sweat at the point.
The police arrived in five minutes.

Seeing them, the script supervisor assumed that something terrible had happened. After he heard that someone from the crew lost a bag, he reported it to the director.
The director came quickly, only to find Jenna’s dressing room crowded with people.
An auxiliary police officer held a camera while other officers were taking a statement and collecting details of the case.
Kamryn repeated what had happened while Jenna stood aside silently with a livid face.
Everyone present was taken to the police station, including Kamryn, Jenna, the designer, and the agent, to make a statement, before the director could say anything.
Kamryn’s bag was taken along as an exhibit.
The police station was just one mile and a half away.
After they arrived, Kamryn was taken to the interrogation room as a suspect, and Jenna was making a statement to an auxiliary police officer.
Nicole came to the police station soon.
Jenna recognized her at a glance and stood up in fear. “Miss Duarte, why are you here?” she asked, looking awkward.
