Mr. You, Please Dote On Me

Chapter 47: A Psycho Is after Me

Shiyao stood in a daze, utterly upset. Hearing the footsteps fading away outside, she thought You Ze must have gone far.

“Who are you?”

The voice, which was as clean as a spring, scared Shiyao. Only then did she see a dark figure in front of her and scream unconsciously.

Xing Shenzhi snapped on the light, looking curiously at Shiyao’s pale face.

He seemed to have met the girl somewhere. She looked very familiar.

“It’s you?”

It occurred to Xing Shenzhi that she was the girl who had helped an old woman in the shopping mall.

Shiyao shrank behind the door, covered her face with hands, and peered at the man through the fingers.

‘Thank god it’s him, not the psycho,’ Shiyao sighed with relief. Although she had met him twice, he was a stranger after all. Shiyao looked at Xing Shenzhi vigilantly and kept a distance with him.

“What are you doing in my room?”

Xing Shenzhi couldn’t help laughing at the alarmed girl Shiyao, ‘She comes into my room. Why does she look so pitiful?’

“I… There’s a psycho after me outside. I’m looking for shelter.”

Shiyao bowed her head grumbling. Now You Ze was a psycho to her.

“It’s common in such a place. As a girl, you should get prepared before coming here.”

Xing Shenzhi scornfully snorted and turned back to the sofa.

Shiyao looked down at her clothes, ‘How could he regard me as a prostitute just based on my slightly messy clothes…’

Unwilling to explain more, Shiyao sat on the floor with her back against the door, and was lost in thought. The picture in the room kept flashing through her mind.

She remembered that You Ze had just said that he would not cheat in marriage, but it was he that lay on the woman and prevented her from venting the anger.

You Ze was a part-time host before. Why she didn’t care when she knew it, but felt so sad now…?

“Bah! You’re really desperate for women!”

‘Men like to play the field!’ Shiyao cursed in her heart.

Xing Shenzhi crossed his legs, swirled the glass in his hand, and looked at the Shiyao’s ever-changing face with interest.

You Ze searched the whole floor and didn’t find Shiyao. What was worse, he couldn’t get through to her. Familiar with hidden rules here, You Ze had no choice but to contact the club manager in case she would fall into danger.

“Hello, Mr. You,”

The paunchy bald man nodded and bowed to You Ze. Having no time to tell the whole story, You Ze directly ordered the man to lead him to the monitoring room.

You Ze found the camera of the second floor and kept screening. Though there were many men and women coming and going in the video, still, he quickly set his sight on a white figure.

Shiyao ran around the corridor a few times, and flashed into another room.

Remembering the room number, You Ze ran to the door as fast as he could and kicked it open with his long legs.

The light was flashing, but Shiyao wasn’t there.

“Where’s she?”

You Ze roared. The manager trembled behind him, afraid to make a sound.

“Give me the guest information in this room!”

You Ze seized the manager by the collar, his eyes blood-shot. The manager was so frightened that he repeatedly responded, which calmed You Ze down.

Then, the manager called the front desk quickly. Although Xing Shenzhi was a VIP, they were more afraid of offending You Ze.

Shiyao held a roadside lamp-post, out of breath. Xing Shenzhi took off his hat, heavily sweating.

“Wow! You are an energetic girl.”

Shiyao smirked. She used to fight when she was a child, and every time she was the fastest to escape afterwards.

“Thanks for your help. Goodbye!”

Shiyao hailed a taxi and left before Xing Shenzhi could speak. Fortunately, she was clever enough to ask Xing Shenzhi to throw her out of the window. ‘You like the women in the club. Just stay there!’

Watching the girl jumping into the car barefoot with shoes in her hand, Xing Shenzhi felt inexplicably happy and smiled brightly.

Dazed in the back seat, Shiyao didn’t know where she could go. You’s was impossible, as for Shi’s, she would surely be sent back to You’s house by her mother.

Half a minute later, Shiyao called Xu Youyou.

“Hi, Yaoyao,” Xu Youyou’s weary voice came. Shiyao was so angry that she didn’t recognize anything different.

“Youyou, where are you?”

“In hospital, my mom is ill…”

Xu Youyou answered feebly. Shiyao noticed something wrong with her and immediately asked the address of the hospital.

Xu Youyou’s mother was a nice but poor woman. Because Xu Youyou’s father died young, Xu Youyou and her mother were kicked out of home by her family when she was a child.

When she first met Shiyao, she often said that they were sisters in misery.

Shiyao remembered Auntie Xu, a gentle and kind woman. Shiyao arrived at the hospital Youyou told her with some tonics to visit Auntie Xu.

“Youyou?”

Shiyao gently pushed the door open, and saw Auntie Xu sleeping in bed. On the bedside, Xu Youyou fell asleep on her stomach. Maybe she was too tired.

Xu Youyou looked up, her bright eyes full of blood streaks, which made her look very haggard.

“Emm…”

Xu Youyou stood up forcing a smile of relief. Shiyao quickly put down the tonics and held her with sympathy.

“How is auntie?”

Looking at the withered and pale face of Auntie Xu on her bed, Shiyao had a bad feeling in her heart.

“She is fine…”

Xu Youyou opened her mouth, but sighed.

“Silly girl, why didn’t you tell me?”

Xu Youyou’s mother was sick all the year round. Xu Youyou’s salary was just enough for her mother and her to live on. If her mother fell ill in hospital, she surely couldn’t afford it.

“It’s nothing serious. You know my mom’s condition.”

Xu Youyou pretended to be used to it and comforted Shiyao who was quite worried.

“Why do you come here? Look, how frustrated you are! What happened?”

Xu Youyou knew Shiyao very well. Shiyao always showed all her emotions on the face. Judging from Shiyao’s worried look, she was sure that something bad must have happened.

With her hands on chin and arms on windowsill, Shiyao sighed desperately.

“Alas! Don’t mention it.”

“Come on, I’m listening.”

Xu Youyou brought two chairs and sat beside the window with Shiyao.

Shiyao was in a daze for two seconds, and then leaned toward Xu Youyou mysteriously.

“Youyou, do you know Zhong Yi, a captain in our company?”
