My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1602

The Wiscadian restaurant was quiet. Rain began falling outside the window again, but it wasn't heavy, so it wouldn't affect anyone's travel plans.

Elsie stared out the window, her mind wandering. She wasn't sure whether having memories of her past life was a blessing or a curse. The memories had a way of resurfacing, unbidden, forcing her to relive moments she couldn't forget.

She found herself recalling that unforgettable love. Just an hour ago, Paul called, asking her to meet him at this restaurant. Now, her heart raced with anticipation.noveldrama

Could it be that Joe remembered his past life too, after hearing her words? Her pulse quickened at the thought.

She was convinced that Joe must have memories of his past life, just like her. Otherwise, why would he have asked Paul to go to Alban and get her contact details?

When Alban had received Paul's call, he had been even more excited than she was. He had been so eager. In fact, he gave her more time than she expected-three months instead of just a couple of weeks.

Elsie exhaled slowly, the weight of relief lifting from her chest. She had time to work with Joe, to help him remember their past life. She could also allow him to resolve things with Skylar and their marriage.

It felt like the right thing to do-respectful to Joe and Skylar. After all, if she hadn't remembered their past life, Skylar and Joe would likely have remained together in this life.

Luckily, they didn't have children. A divorce would bring no significant loss to either of them.

Just as Elsie was about to continue pondering the future, someone walked into the restaurant.

She immediately turned to look, unable to contain her excitement.

But when she saw who had entered, a wave of disappointment washed over her. It wasn't Joe. It was Skylar.

She wondered if Skylar was the one who wanted to meet her or if someone had told her about the conversation Elsie had with Joe that night.

As this possibility crossed her mind, Elsie pursed her lips. She wondered if it had been the driver or if Joe himself had told her.

If it was Joe, then maybe he hadn't fully regained his memories yet and had brushed off her words as a joke. Perhaps Skylar had found out and was here to mock her.

Elsie's mind races with possibilities, but before she could settle on one, Skylar had already walked up to the table and sat down. "Have you ordered?" she asked.

Elsie's expression darkened. She didn't know why, but she couldn't bring herself to meet Skylar's gaze.

A fleeting glance was all she allowed before quickly turning her eyes back to the window. She replied in a neutral tone, "Not yet."

"I'll order for us then. Are there any dishes you can't eat?" Skylar asked again.

Elsie shook her head, biting her lip. She could feel the calmness radiating from Skylar-there was no confrontation, no questions about why Elsie was involved with Joe. Instead, Skylar remained calm and coffected.

The more composed Skylar was, the more uncertain Elsie felt.

Logically, Skylar should have felt guilty, not Elsie. After all, Skylar was the one who had taken everything from her.

Once Skylar had placed the order,

she turned her attention back to Elsie. Elsie looked young and beautiful, and it was clear that she had received an excellent education from a young age.
