The honking from behind was incessant, but Ned seemed oblivious to it. It wasn’t until the woman’s figure vanished from sight that he finally withdrew his gaze completely.
The woman sitting beside him, Rosa Reese, noticed his distraction and asked softly, “Are you feeling that headache again? I’ve made an appointment with a doctor, he’s skilled in acupuncture. Maybe he can help relieve your insomnia and headaches.”
Ned’s expression was stern as he raised his hand to press against his forehead. The woman he had just seen….
“By the way, what were you looking at just now?” she asked. Rosa glanced out the window, but there was nothing particularly special outside.
Only a few restaurants, including one fondue restaurant.
“Nothing much. Let’s go,” Ned replied.

She probably hadn’t came from. Skylar signaled to Janine that she needed to take a call and moved to the balcony.
Once there, she spoke softly, “Did the person who gave you the pendant mention if it would have any effects on you aside from the purpose he described?”
Ursula was taken aback. “What? An effect on me?”
She had no idea about any of this and hadn’t thought much about it.
“Have you been to the hospital recently for a termination?” Skylar asked, maintaining a soft tone with a hint of concern.
Ursula and Moira seemed to have no other way to respond to the bullying from those who could dictate their fate. Aside from fear and feeble resistance, there was little else they could NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Ursula drew in a sharp breath.
Skylar listened intently on her phone. Shortly after, Ursula hurriedly ended the call.
Skylar glanced at the disconnected call and saved the unfamiliar number, labeling it “Ursula“.
Inside Ruell Residence, Ursula abruptly ended the call and began crying softly. She was careful not to let her sobs grow too loud, fearing someone might hear her.
Looking down at the necklace hanging around her neck, she found some comfort in the small emerald pendant. Over the past few months since her mother’s death, it had provided her with a source of solace.
She felt genuinely happy witnessing the people who bullied her and her mother finally facing the consequences of their actions.
She hadn’t considered the future. So, if the emerald pendant were to harm her, it wouldn’t matter. They had already ruined her life; her mother was gone, and there was nothing left for her to care about.
She had previously dreamed of saving money and returning to the countryside to marry her boyfriend. They would build a two–story house together and live happily. But after everything she had experienced, she couldn’t bear the thought of returning to marry him.
Tears streamed down her face. At that moment, Vera stood outside Ursula’s door.
Several maids lived on the lower floor.
Vera hesitated, contemplating whether to knock and call Ursula out.
Whether it was Denton or Marlon, they wouldn’t say a word no matter how much she asked. Denton seemed especially agitated, lost in thought, struggling to breathe as if he might faint at any moment.
This made her abandon the idea of seeking answers.
Finally, she mustered the courage to knock on the door.
“Ursula, are you in there? I’d like to talk to you.”
The door opened quickly.
Ursula looked at Vera with swollen eyes. “You… You’ve been crying? Did someone bully you?”
Vera asked.
Ursula shook her head. “Did you need something Ms. Ruell?”
