Chapter 2228
Three eight-trigram talismans appeared before Octavian.
Linvy silently turned away, knowing deep down that this was their only option. He simply didn't want Octavian to take such a risk.
As someone who had grown up as an orphan on the mountain, these two were like his family. As the eldest, it was his duty to protect them all.
However, he wasn't gifted like Octavian, who was considered a prodigy. Linvy knew that even if he trained for another hundred years, he might never reach Octavian's level.
Octavian said he could do it, and Linvy believed that he would succeed.
A brilliant white light flashed. Octavian slammed both hands onto the ground. "Go! Thunder of Five Heavens!"
Several bolts of lightning pierced through the clouds, striking the giant tree.
Biloch easily absorbed the first three strikes, but soon, he realized he could not handle the subsequent ones. The strikes left him charred and blackened, yet the giant tree remained standing.
Octavian leaped into the path of the descending lightning, and to everyone's amazement, he caught the lightning in his hands.
The three onlookers were stunned by this incredible sight, and their emotions were swirling.
Octavian then transformed the lightning into a sharp blade and delivered a powerful strike that severed the iron giant tree. He followed up with a lightning spear, completely destroying the tree's roots. Biloch was effortlessly defeated.
Watching Octavian's overwhelming strength, Benedict felt a surge of admiration. "That's... truly incredible...
However, just as Octavian was basking in his success, he noticed something strange happening to his body. "Uh-oh! I'm in trouble!" Octavian was suddenly pulled back into the spell formation.
Linvy walked over and reclaimed his eight-trigram talismans. "Trapped in the formation?"noveldrama
Octavian sheepishly nodded. "Uh... You might want to..."
Before Octavian could finish, Linvy and Krosh were also ensnared by the formation.
"What's this?" Linvy glared angrily at Octavian.
Octavian quickly apologized. "S-Sorry, Linvy... Um... This ability removes the limits on the body, so I had to set up some safeguards..."
The formation was the safeguard.
Although Linvy was visibly upset, he
could not help but notice that
Octavian's innovative thinking had
ernet
saved them. The protective formation, originally intended for aiding sleep, had cleverly been repurposed by Octavian to prevent their spirits from dissipating after merging with the three eight-trigram talismans.
It was a smart move.
Linvy did not scold Octavian further. "How long will it take for this formation to release us?"
"Um... Hehe..." Octavian cautiously replied, "About a day..."
Linvy turned away in frustration.
The three of them were supposed to resolve the crisis, but now, they were immobilized.
With a resigned sigh, Linvy accepted the situation. At least, the immediate threat had been neutralized.
As they had sensed while coming
here, Central District was in chaos, but they would have to leave that to the more powerful figures there.
The news of Malvol's and Biloch's deaths reached Zirconia. She sighed deeply as her gaze was still fixed on the fruit above her. It was slowly turning red.
There was no time for mourning. She would not let their sacrifices be in vain. "Malvol... it seems he's not dead," Ruin interrupted.
What do you think?
