Chapter 470
"Hurry up and grab her! I don't care what it takes-get this woman to the police station today and get Olivia out."
A group of tall, imposing bodyguards sprang into action at the order, moving toward Isadora.
Nanette's heart pounded as she watched the men close in, each step making it clear they truly meant to seize them.
She was just one woman, and Isadora was pregnant-there was no way they could fight their way out.
"Get in the car! Now, Isadora! That woman's lost her mind," Nanette shouted, urgency in her voice.
But before they could make a move, suddenly, shadows blurred across the lot— dozens of figures appearing as if conjured out of thin air.
Victor's men, the ones he'd stationed in secret to protect Isadora, emerged without a sound. Rigid and alert, they fanned out to form a protective wall in front of Isadora and Nanette.
The two groups of bodyguards squared off, tension crackling in the air.
But it was obvious from the start-Isadora's team, nearly ten strong, effortlessly outnumbered Andrina's four flustered men.
Isadora met Andrina's eyes, her voice icy. "If you keep this up, I won't hesitate to make sure you and your daughter both get to experience a night at the station."
On the drive home, Nanette gripped the wheel, glancing sideways in disbelief. "When did you get bodyguards, Isadora? And since when did you have an entire football team following you around?"
Isadora pressed her hand to her forehead, watching the city lights flicker past outside.
"Victor arranged it, after I was hospitalized last time," she said quietly.
She'd expected maybe two or three guards-not nearly ten, lurking in the shadows, ready to spring into action.
The whole thing felt surreal-like something reserved for the President.
Nanette nodded, lips quirking. "Your husband doesn't mess around."noveldrama
She turned the wheel and continued, "So, Olivia's in police custody now, but honestly, just a recording isn't much to go on. With the Walsh family's influence, they could easily fake a psychiatric report for Olivia and bail her out."
The Walsh family would do anything to save face for Olivia. They had finally gotten her into the station; they couldn't let things fizzle out now.
Noticing Isadora lost in thought, Nanette offered, "If you ask me, you should talk to Victor. See if

When Isadora got home, Victor's black Ferrari was already parked in the garage.
She walked through the foyer and asked the housekeeper, "Where's Victor?"
The housekeeper answered politely, "He's in the study, ma'am." "Thank you."
Isadora headed to the kitchen,

"Come in."
Victor's deep voice rumbled from inside.
She stepped in to find Victor

Isadora closed the door softly behind her.
Victor turned, lifting his gaze. His dark eyes flickered over to where she stood.
"That's what I want done," he said into the phone, then hung up.
His eyes were sharp and intent as he studied her.
Isadora shifted, feeling his gaze linger. "Is there something on my face?"
"Come here."
She walked over, set the bowl of pumpkin soup on his desk, and moved closer.
Victor took her hand, looking down at her with those deep, searching eyes. "When did you get that recording of Olivia?"
What do you think?
