No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Recognizing Frank's user ID, she instantly kicked him out of the livestream and blocked his account.

Since she had decided to cut all ties with her family, he should keep his nose out of her business.

Frank was just about to pay for the gift when he realized he had been kicked out, so he stopped.

A sad smile crept onto his lips. It seemed like Noelle had really been hurt this time.

At first, he assumed she was merely being stubborn.

"Mr. Frank, something bad happened! Ms. Quigley tried committing suicide. Fortunately, Mr. Lucas stopped her in time. They're on their way to the hospital now."

Frank immediately set his phone down. "Why did she do that?"

Gordon exclaimed, "I heard that although the school didn't give her any demerits, they still canceled her results. She couldn't handle the news and tried to kill herself. Sir, you should comfort her later."

Frank rubbed his temples. "Why can't she just behave herself? I never had to worry about Noelle's studies, and she still did so well."

Gordon scowled. "Ms. Quigley did badly on her exams because Ms. Liddell got her sick. Now, she's being punished unfairly because of her friends. It's only natural that she's devastated."

"Gordon, of all people, you have no right to say that. You nearly messed up Noelle's grades when you prepared faulty stationery for her."

Gordon fell silent, bowing his head in shame.

The thought of the incident made Frank's heart ache for Noelle even more.

Soon after, Xenia was rushed to the hospital with an ashen face.

Teary-eyed, she stared at Frank. "It's all my fault, Frank. Now that my grades have

been canceled, the Liddell family will become a laughingstock."

Frank frowned. "And did you think that committing suicide would solve this problem?"

Xenia swallowed her words awkwardly. Lowering her head, she sobbed softly. She hadn't expected the school to cancel her results.

Noelle had scored the highest in the city and been accepted to Yole University while she didn't even have a score.

She felt crushed to see the contrast between her and Noelle, especially after all these years of looking down on the latter.

Lucas hurriedly consoled her. "It's no big deal, Xenia. You can just repeat a grade."

He continued, "You'll be fine as long

as you work hard. I mean, look at Noelle. She managed to improve her

grades during the last few months before the exams."

Hearing Lucas compare her and Noelle only made her feel worse. After all, she hadn't really planned on killing herself. She just wanted the

Liddells' attention and sympathy.

"Stop crying. Make sure to apply for grade retention in the next few days."

Frank was starting to get irritated by her tears.

He also suspected she wasn't as innocent in the cheating scandal as she claimed. After all, it took two to tango.

Still, he hadn't found proof that she was related to Betty's sudden death, although Betty had left a confession letter behind.

Gordon looked at Xenia worriedly. "Ms. Quigley, please don't do this again. Do you have any idea how horrifying that classmate of yours looked after her body was O discovered?"

"Enough!" Xenia shouted, visibly panicked as she lowered her head in guilt.

Once her wound was treated, she was sent to a private room.

She pulled out her phone and found several unread messages.

"I've taken care of that classmate of yours. I'll get rid of anyone who tries to stand in your way."

Xenia was mortified. "I only asked you to keep her quiet! Why did you kill her?"

God knew how frightened she was when the police started questioning her. She never wanted Betty to die.

A wave of regret washed over Xenia. She never should have asked this person

for help. She hadn't even confirmed his identity yet.

"Do you want to get rid of Noelle Liddell too? Once she's dead, you'll be the only daughter in the Liddell family."

Xenia hesitated, imagining how no one could take what she had now if Noelle was dead.
