Henrik didn’t respond, the silence stretching between them.

Yet, Rhett understood that Henrik believed he had countless ways to control Khloe. But that wasn’t the right way to treat someone you care about. This was something Henrik needed to learn on his own, so Rhett decided to drop the subject and move on.

“Khloe is entering the national biopharmaceutical competition, and the Dayton family has already blocked her. What’s your plan now?”

Henrik adopted his usual composed and indifferent demeanor when the topic turned serious. “We’ll observe for now. Khloe’s very skilled. Once she’s in the finals, we’ll give her a little push. Her talent will shake up the Dayton family’s control over the biopharmaceutical market, making it easier for us to make our move.”

Rhett couldn’t help but admire Henrik’s ability to use Khloe against the Dayton family, even though he clearly cared for her. The Dayton family was a powerful opponent, and Khloe would face an uphill battle in the competition. The training session wrapped up quickly, and Henrik reverted to his usual demeanor.

The next day, Khloe felt a bit awkward when she saw Henrik, but he didn’t seem affected. As usual, he poured her a glass of milk and then went to feed his crocodiles. Khloe furrowed her brow, concern spreading across her features as she reached out to touch Charlotte’s forehead. “You’re burning up with a fever. You need to go to the hospital now.”

“No, I’m not going. Just look at the solution! You need to adjust it and figure out how to stabilize the genetic growth pattern for the nose.”

Charlotte insisted on continuing the experiments. Khloe exchanged a glance with Gloria, who immediately understood and knocked Charlotte out with a precise chop.

“We need to get her checked out by a doctor.” Khloe sighed in frustration as she took Gloria and Charlotte to the nearest clinic.
