Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 820

The moonlight that night was just stunning. A handsome guy and a beautiful lady, they were such a perfect pair. He bumped into Ashley, who casually mentioned, "That's my sister's new boyfriend. My uncle set them up personally."

Officer Baldwin also caught sight of Mr. Lincoln, standing on a platform, watching his daughter with a loving smile. It was clear he approved of his future son-in-law. Officer Baldwin felt there was no need to ask anything more. He already knew the answer in his heart. So, he turned back.

"You've done an incredible job. They're planning to reward you..." Officer Baldwin repeated. But he sidestepped Morris's question.

Morris, sharp as a tack, had already picked up on Officer Baldwin's unspoken response. He turned slowly. "She won't be visiting me anymore, will she?"

Officer Baldwin replied, "Probably not."

Morris let out a laugh, one that was more painful than any tears. "How much time will get knocked off?" he asked.

Officer Baldwin responded, "You've made a big impact. If everything goes smoothly, you'll get more than three years shaved off."

Morris nodded. "I get it."

After Officer Baldwin left, Morris gazed at the full moon, talking to himself, "The same moon shines on us all, but in three years, will it still be the moon I remember from my childhood?"

"Nathalie, does our home still matter?"

Brooklyn Bridge. As soon as Nathalie stepped out of the car, she noticed a small white figure huddled under the bridge. Dominick pointed at the tiny figure and said, "Boss, that's the young lady we found."

"What's her story?"

"When she was six, her parents split up. Her dad took her brother, and she stayed with her mom. Sadly, her mom recently got diagnosed with a terminal illness and passed away a few days ago. She's a top student, but her family's broke, so school life is tough."

Nathalie moved closer, causing the girl to look up, startled. Now Nathalie could see her face clearly. An oval face with big almond-shaped eyes. Those alone made her look just like Greta. Oh, and that frail silhouette and gentle vibe, even more so.

But for some reason, Nathalie saw a reflection of her younger self in her. She crouched down in front of the girl. "How old are you?"

"Sister, I'm seventeen."

Nathalie shivered; the girl's age was exactly the same as when Cameron first took her away. "Is there anyone else at home?"noveldrama

"No one. My mom died two days ago."

Nathalie noticed the small poster in front of her, about raising money for her

mother's funeral. She asked the girl, "Would you like to come with me?"

The girl nodded eagerly. "I'll help you give your mother a proper farewell." "Thank you, sister."

Nathalie took the girl's hand and walked away, step by step.

Dawson Manor. Nathalie stood at the entrance, holding little Cindy's hand. When Greta opened the door and Saw Nathalie, her face fell. "What are you doing here?

Nathalie replied, "Came to see my daughter."

Greta's expression darkened. "You're not welcome here."

Nathalie chuckled dryly. "When you decided to be the other woman and break up a family, you should've known the ex-wife would be a lingering shadow in this house." Then she pushed past Greta.

Greta huffed, "How can you act like this?"

Nathalie, with Cindy in tow, confidently walked inside. Her eyes lit up when she saw Cameron on the sofa. Cameron looked up, but his eyes were glued to little Cindy The timidness, the unease she gave off, was just like Nellie years ago. And those eyes, bright like stars, reminded him so much of Nellie.
