Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 831

Griffin admitted with a hint of guilt, "It's not just on you; I've got my share of the blame too."

Driven by the last flicker of conscience, Cameron made his final call: "Dad, I've decided to sell off all of Dawson International's assets and use the money to pay back the wages we owe our workers."

Griffin replied, "I just need a bed to sleep in, and I don't need a big house. If you have to sell it, go ahead. But what about your wife? Will she be okay with it?"

Cameron chuckled bitterly, "In the shape I'm in now, why would she stick around? I'll give her some money and end things."

Griffin was taken aback, "You were head over heels in love back then, and now it's all ending so easily. Are you sure you're okay with this?"

Cameron sighed, "Nathalie once said something spot-on: love follows money. When I was loaded, Greta was crazy about me. Now that I'm broke, she might not want to hang around."

Griffin waved him off, "Go on, do what you think is right. You don't need my advice anymore."

The next day, Cameron called a press conference. He dropped two bombshells on the city: first, Dawson International was going under. Second, he was auctioning off all his personal stuff to pay back the workers.

Everyone was floored by his move.

Over at the Stewart family estate, Nathalie caught wind of Cameron's plan to auction his assets. She called Dominick over and handed him a crucial task: "I want Cameron's old mansion. Make sure to snag it at half the market price."

Dominick thought he misheard, "Half price?"

"Boss, I know I can talk circles around anyone, but even the best pitch can't bag the Dawson mansion at fifty percent off. That's pretty cutthroat."

Nathalie rolled her eyes, "Come here. Take a good look at me."

Dominick leaned in, joking, "Boss, you might want to watch out for those fine lines around your eyes."

Nathalie playfully smacked him on the head, "Do I look like a capitalist to you?"

Dominick teased, "Boss, you don't just look like one; you are one."

Nathalie shot back confidently,

"Since when do capitalists care

about humanity? As long as it'net

lega it's all about chasing the profit."

Dominick was stunned.

His once serene and idealistic sister had turned into someone who only smelled of money.

Dominick sighed, "Boss, Cameron's no dummy. His mansion's in a prime spot, and he won't let it go for half."

Nathalie's eyes widened, "Ever heard of marketing? Whether the Dawson Estate goes for a discount depends on how you spin it."

Dominick looked eager to learn.

Nathalie continued, "If you ask me,

that place has bad vibes, it's a

money pit, and it's cursed with-

family drama. Even at a seventy-five percent discount, no one would want it."

Dominick gave her a thumbs up, "Sister, that's genius."

"I'll go spread the word," Dominick said, rushing out.noveldrama

Nathalie shouted after him, "What word? Everything I said is true. The Dawson family's downfall is alle

to that old house's bad

mojo."
