Rejected No More: I Am Way Out Of Your League, Darling!

Chapter 1209

Chapter 1209:

Cedric’s voice sharpened. “I said get out.”

Daniela turned her head just in time to catch Cedric tossing Charles out of the villa.

She opened the door and locked eyes with Cedric. “What happened?”

Cedric pressed his lips together. “Nothing,” he muttered. But his simmering anger gave away his restlessness.

A quiet unease crept into Daniela. She stepped closer and reached out to touch his forehead, but he turned away, dodging her hand.

Her hand hung suspended midair, unsure where to go.

She studied Cedric, confused by his abrupt resistance.

“What’s gotten into you?” she asked.

Cedric stared at her in wordless silence, his eyes heavy with something unspoken.

His mind drifted back to the conversation he’d overheard the night before. Daniela, speaking on the phone in the garden, had told headquarters that everything here was taken care of. Once his leg was healed, she would return to headquarters.

So the moment he could walk again, she’d leave him.

He had believed she’d always be there for him. But clearly, that wasn’t the plan.

He had pride, and yes, he cared about his recovery. But Daniela was only staying because she felt indebted.

The desperate need to keep her close was eating him alive.

He couldn’t bear the thought of Daniela walking away.

He wanted her to stay here in Olisvine forever.

He was terrified that once he was back on his feet, she’d ask for a divorce.

And once she made a decision, nothing in the world could change it.

That fear weighed heavy on him.

Daniela struggled to understand what Cedric was thinking.

With a slight frown, she asked, “Don’t you want to get your leg healed?”

Cedric stayed quiet.

Daniela’s eyes were steady, unwavering.

“You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. But when you’re ready, you can come talk to me.”

Daniela never forced anyone to do something they weren’t ready for. Cedric was always calm and rational. Daniela trusted that he knew how to handle delicate matters.

Daniela was about to step into the courtyard to make a call. There had been some work-related issues lately.

Just as she started to move, she felt a tug on her clothes. She turned and met Cedric’s eyes.

Daniela remained silent for a moment, quietly gazing into Cedric’s eyes.noveldrama

Cedric trailed off, his thoughts seemingly heavy.

After a long pause, he continued, “Is it because my leg isn’t healed that you’re always so kind to me?”

Daniela didn’t feel she was particularly kind to Cedric. “Why ask that out of the blue?”
