Chapter 693 William Came for Money
Travis walked up and held them around the shoulders, "Both of you should take the credit! Stop
flattering each other. I've done nothing to help and I'm feeling bad."
Sophia punched him on the chest, "Hey! You've got a lot to do. Take good care of Helena. She's
carrying two babies!" Sophia couldn't be happier when she thought she would be Aunt Sophia.
Travis looked at Helena gently, "Sure. The babies are a gift from God. It's the witness of our love."
Sophia couldn't help but have goose bumps.
"Oh? You're having goose bumps? You forgot how we've disgusted them by doing lovey-dovey in front
of them?" asked Drake.
Sophia rolled her eyes, "I didn't want to. You've made me!"
"OK. OK. It was all my fault. You're the boss!" said Drake desperately.
The old Mrs. Lawson left hospital as planned. She didn't go back to live with William. Instead, she
moved to the Riley Manor, which she was still afraid of visiting.
"Grandma, relax. There's no ghosts in the world. You've corrected your mistakes and done really well.
The old Riley won't haunt you!" said Sophia helplessly.
"Are you sure?" the old Mrs. Lawson asked with a shaking voice.
"Yeah!" Sophia found it annoying and amusing. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
"Great granny, how about me sleeping with you at night?" Bonnie came over and suggested.
The old Mrs. Lawson looked really bad, feeling it couldn't be more humiliating that a five-year-old had
offered to accompany her to sleep.
"It... it's OK, sweetheart. I can sleep on my own! "
Bonnie blinked her bright eyes, "Never mind. I won't laugh at you if you're scared."
Hearing it, everyone burst into laughter. And the old Mrs. Lawson felt less embarrassed, knowing
Bonnie was just trying to help her relax. She must say Sophia had done a great job in parenting.
The old Mrs. Lawson saw Drake and asked anxiously, "I've done a lot of bad things to you and your
family. Will you blame me for that?"
"Oh, please! Let bygones be bygones! I'm glad that you've figured it out. That's great!"
The old Mrs. Lawson sighed, "I must say I'm worried that your grandparents would haunt me if I didn't
make an apology in the house."
Drake was amused, "No, they wouldn't do that. Now that we've taken you here, it meant we've
accepted and forgiven you. So would they."
The old Mrs. Lawson was stunned for a second and then nodded.
Sophia thought it necessary to tell the old Mrs. Lawson something first in case she couldn't take it when
she suddenly heard it some day.
"Grandma, I wanna tell you something. But, promise you won't get mad." she said.
"OK. I promise."
"Uncle William and Aunt Bella have..."
The old Mrs. Lawson was pissed off instantly and interrupted Sophia, "Did they argue again when I was
in hospital? Can't they give me a break? What's wrong with them!"
"No, Grandma. It's worse."
The old Mrs. Lawson interrupted her again, "Did they fight?"
"Nope!"
"OK. Then they're good." said the old Mrs. Lawson.
"They got a divorce!"
It took long for the old Mrs. Lawson to realize it.
Sophia was worried that she would pass out again and explained immediately, "Here's the thing. Uncle
William said he didn't have a son and wanted to divorce Bella, so he could marry another woman to
give him a son."
The old Mrs. Lawson wanted to say something but Sophia didn't let her.
"Actually, it wasn't Bella's fault. She might have done something inappropriate but it was nothing when
compared with Uncle William's wrong doings. Uncle William has been inferior to my father and good at
nothing these years. Finally, he came back and released his nature. So, he..."
"Grandma, think on the bright side. At least, we've found out what had gone wrong. Things might be
worse if he kept restraining himself. In my opinion, we'll fix it since it has happened."
"They have disappointed me so much! They were good when I was around, but it turns out..."
murmured the old Mrs. Lawson.
"Take it easy, Grandma. We'll figure out something. You must hit the ceiling if you heard it from
someone else. That's why I decided to tell you now."
"What a shame! What a shame!" yelled the old Mrs. Lawson.
Sophia didn't want things to go on like that, but she couldn't do anything with it. Speaking of the devil!
Soon enough, William arrived in the Lawson Manor.
He shouted out as soon as he came in, "Where's my mother? Where's she?"
Emma frowned, "The old Mrs. Lawson is having a rest. Can you keep your voice down?"
"No. I've got something important to tell her."
"Something emergent?" Emma raised her voice.
"Yeah. Sure it is!" William looked extremely worried.
Emma knew him inside out. He was good at nothing. Probably, he was gonna make a scene.
"Sophia is upstairs!" reminded Emma.
William was frozen and said, "Then I must go up to check it out."
He simply went past Emma and ran upstairs. But he didn't know which room the old Mrs. Lawson was
in, then he kept searching around.
Sophia came out of one room and asked, "What are you doing here, Uncle William?"
William ran up to her, "Oh Sophia! It's good that you're also here!. Where's your grandma? Is she in
there?"
"Grandma is sleeping. Just tell me if you want anything." said Sophia coldly.
"I'll have to tell your grandma as well. It's important." said William eagerly.
"Just come in!" the old Mrs. Lawson said in the room.
William pushed Sophia away and went straight into the room before she could stop him.
William went over to the bed and said in sorrow, "Mother, I've told you not to give Bella so much money.
See? She's bought a house near mine and even kept toy boys there. She's a big spender!"
"You know what, she did it only to piss me off, telling me that she has got all the money from me and
spent it on the pretty boys. Mother, she was full of herself while you were in hospital. Now that you've
got better, could you please go collect the money back with me?"
