Chapter 92
Rose’s POP
As the meeting drew to a close, I breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over me from watching how well Sawyer had done with introducing himself to Jacob’s pack members.
The room had been filled with uncertainty and tension at the start and I worried that things weren’t going to work out how Ashton had planned, but now, there was a glimmer of hope in the air, a promise of a brighter future for Jacob’s pack now living under Sawyer’s leadership.
Ashton led me back to our room for the night after bidding the members goodbye, with little Daisy bounding happily alongside us. The little pup had been a constant source of joy amidst the chaos, her boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm keeping our spirits high and distracting me from the torturous memories from the last time I was here…
Once we reached our room, I glanced down at the yapping puppy with a smile.
“Ashton? Can we maybe make her a small bed somewhere?‘ I suggest, as he turns and chuckles at the idea – walking over to one of the closets to reveal some extra blankets and pillows.
Ashton set about making a small bed for Daisy on the floor, arranging the blankets and pillows to ensure her upmost comfort. It was heartwarming to see his care and thoughtfulness towards the little pup, a testament to his gentle nature beneath his Alpha exterior- and it made me all the more excited to bring our baby in to the world.
Daisy settled down on the makeshift bed, as we changed and dressed to get some rest. Brushing my teeth and walking back out, I pulled back the covers as Ashton did the same on the other side Daisy following our movements with her eyes.
But as soon as we both climbed under the sheets, ready to settle in for the night, Daisy had other ideas…
Ignoring the bed that Ashton had spent sa long preparing for her, she abandoned it and instead leaped up onto the bed with us, snuggling in between us with a contented sigh.

I couldn’t help but laugh at her antics, her presence warming my heart as she nestled close to us. Ashton chuckled beside me, his arm wrapping around me as we settled in for the night, Daisy nestled snugly between us.
can’t believe we have a baby on the way along with a new dog… Ashton comments, smiling at me as I giggle again.
Who would have thought?!
In that moment, surrounded by the ones I loved most, I felt a profound sense of peace and contentment wash over me.

Nestled between Ashton and Daisy, I couldn’t help but marvel at the bond that was forming between us and our furry companion. It was as if Daisy had always belonged with her presence bringing a new level of joy and comfort to our lives.
With a contented sigh, I smuggled closer to Ashton, feeling his warmth enveloping me. The events of the day seemed to fade into the background as we lay there together, basking in the quiet intimacy of the moment.

“I’m glad we’re here together,” I whispered, my voice barely above a whisper as I leaned in to press a gentle kiss against Ashton’s cheek.
“Me too,” he murmured in response, his arms tightening around me in a reassuring embrace.
Do you think the pack will be ok with the children coming to live here?” 1 ponder, hearing Ashtons breathing grow steady.
“Definitely – Sawyer won’t let it progress any other way. This will be the best place for them, I’ll make sure of that!” He states firmly, his confidence for the idea shining through as I sigh in content.

the day’s events feeling proud of how well he had handled the plans.
The weight of responsibility that came with Sawyers new role as leader of Jacob’s pack weighed heavily on my mind, but in Ashton’s arms, I found solace and strength.
I traced my fingers lightly over Daisy’s soft fur, marveling at the trust she had placed in us so quickly. She was a reminder of the simple joys in life, a symbol of the new beginnings that awaited us as we embarked on this journey together.
With a sense of determination coursing through my veins, I made a silent promise to myself and to our unborn child. I would do whatever it took to ensure a better future for them, to create a world where they could grow and thrive without fear or uncertainty,
Closing my eyes, I let go of the worries and doubts that had plagued me throughout the day, allowing myself to surrender to the embrace of sleep. In the warmth of Ashton’s arms, surrounded by the soft sounds of Daisy’s gentle breathing. I found peace.
