Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 1117

Chapter 1117:

Abram squinted and said, “Charlie, even if you deleted it, you’re still the software admin. So whatever you’ve seen or heard has to be true. Don’t worry about Allison’s revenge. We’ve got Mr. Morgan on our side now, so please, tell us the truth.”

Under the pressure, Charlie took a deep breath.

It was clear that he could no longer avoid answering.

“I don’t know anything about any design drafts. All I know is that Ms. Clarke was kicked out of the studio for copying Mr. Marquez’s work,” Charlie said firmly.

Allison felt completely ridiculous after hearing that.

“Charlie, do you even hear what you’re saying?” she asked, her voice sharp.

“I’m sorry, I’m just telling the truth,” Charlie replied.

Then he hung up.

Abram seemed to regain his confidence, sitting up straighter and saying to Allison, “Now you’ve got nothing to argue, right?”

It looked like the matter was finally wrapping up.

But many of the designers in the crowd weren’t convinced.

“That’s just another statement, not proof,” one of them said.noveldrama

“We’ve all seen Ms. Clarke’s skills for ourselves,” another added.

“If she really copied, shouldn’t she copy from an expert? Why would she copy a flawed design and even make it better? Doesn’t that sound irrational?” someone said.

Some people began to side with Allison.

After all, it seemed unfair to accuse her of plagiarism without solid proof.

Then, a man in the crowd suddenly had a thought.

“I remember that software usually keeps two copies,” he said, his eyes lighting up. “If the studio can reach the software developer, we might find the backup data there!”

But others weren’t so sure.

“Are you serious? Do you even know who Grace is?” they replied, shaking their heads.

“It costs at least seventy thousand dollars just to arrange a meeting with her, and she might not even agree to see you!” someone argued.

“I’m just suggesting a possibility. Maybe if Ms. Clarke gets a chance in the future to meet Grace, she can prove she’s innocent,” the man said.

“Stop making excuses. Saying something so unrealistic is just an attempt to clear her of plagiarism!” someone shot back.

People in the crowd began to argue, each with a different opinion. Allison calmly looked at them and said, “There’s no need to argue. I have a way to contact Grace. I can call her right now.”

Abram burst out laughing when he heard this.

He shook his head, clearly amused.

“Ms. Clarke, even if you’re trying to stall, you don’t need to make yourself look so ridiculous,” he said with a smirk.

After all, someone like Grace, who had long retired, was not only impossible to find but had never been contacted by anyone!

An eerie silence descended upon the room.
