Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 1121

Chapter 1121:

Standing under the weight of their stares, Abram felt his back grow damp with cold sweat.

“Damn it! That bitch had set him up!”

Unfortunately for Abram, no matter how he spun it in his mind, there was no escape.

He dared not meet Fabian’s eyes. His priority now was to salvage what little he could of his reputation.

“Let me explain,” Abram stammered, his voice shaky and uncertain. Gone was the arrogance he had displayed earlier. “I admit, I did draw inspiration from Allison’s work.”

“In the past, I held Ms. Clarke in high regard and spent a lot of time studying her work.”

Abram spoke as if he were a fan of Allison’s, carefully avoiding mentioning how awful his attitude towards her at this banquet had been at the start.

Instead, he focused on claiming how hard he had worked.

“It wasn’t until now that I understood how deeply my research and her influence had affected me, to the point where I mistook her designs for my own ideas.”

Abram turned blatant plagiarism into a defense, claiming that it was unintentional.

He also managed to make himself sound like a victim.

Unfortunately, many professionals were present, and the people from the industry weren’t buying his story.

One person spoke up in anger. “I used to admire you as a designer! But now I see you can’t even tell the difference between borrowing and stealing!”

For years, Abram’s designs had been seen as top-notch in the industry. However, some of his supporters tried to downplay the situation. They pretended to stay neutral, hoping to influence others.

“Abram might have taken ideas from Ms. Clarke’s work, but at least he’s apologized now, right?”

“Exactly, and this doesn’t change his skill as a designer. It was just a mistake.”

“Everyone makes mistakes. The key thing is that he admitted it, and he seems genuine.”

But these arguments didn’t stand up.

They were quickly met with anger and criticism.

“Get lost! Plagiarists don’t have a leg to stand on!”noveldrama

After all, anyone could see that Abram was nothing but a shameless thief.

This wasn’t just borrowing — it was a clear case of copying, no question about it.

Allison knew that someone like Abram would never change. She glanced at the large screen above.

“These are the original drafts I created back then.” Allison spoke calmly, with assurance. “Of course, if anyone still doubts me, I can ask Grace to fetch the records from the studio’s earliest employees for everyone to review.”

The crowd in the banquet hall shifted uncomfortably.

Everyone’s gaze was fixed on Abram and Hoyt.

Abram’s mind raced.

He was finished.
