A sharp crack rang out, cutting through the air in the room.

Victor’s eyes went wide as he saw Allison crouch and drag a blade across his face.

Meanwhile, Amya yelled loudly, “Allison, watch out!”

At that moment, someone had silently entered the room, ready to open fire.

Allison reacted instantly, grabbing Victor by the neck in one smooth motion and using him as a human shield.

“Before you pull that trigger, why don’t you guess who’ll die first, Victor or me?” she asked.

Her voice was calm, showing no trace of fear, even with danger closing in.

She held Victor in front of her, fully using his body as a shield, and even pulled Amya safely behind her.

Victor understood her plan perfectly.

His face, drenched in blood, looked like something out of a nightmare.
