She's the Campus Prince

Chapter 666

Cameron saw the news about Xander coming back to the country.

She just briefly glanced at it, not really paying much attention.

Judging from the photo, Xander had changed a lot.

He seemed much more steady now.

'That's good,' Cameron thought. 'Everyone just keeps moving on with their lives!

After taking a week off, she kept pouring all her energy into her work in the lab.

One day, David came to the lab looking for her.

Cameron was dressed in a sterile lab suit, messing around with some chemical reagents that David couldn't even begin to understand

"Ms. Yates," David called out.

Cameron turned around and asked, "Mr. Tucker, what's up?"

David said, "Ms. Yates, we've got a dinner with the Moore Group tonight. They need you there in person."

David usually took care of all the other business meetings and social engagements himself.

But when it came to anything involving the Moore family, Cameron always handled it personally.

Back then, she was the one who hustled to land that first partnership with the Moore family.

Now that Cameron had developed a groundbreaking treatment for leukemia, both Aurevia Biotech and the Moore family were winning big,

Cameron nodded. "Sure."

At six o'clock sharp, Elijah's Rolls-Royce pulled up right in front of the company. Cameron took off her sterile lab suit and changed into her own clothes.

It was early spring. She wore a long black dress and a pair of one-inch heels, walking slowly toward the Rolls-Royce.

Elijah sat in the car, watching Cameron through the window. In his eyes, she looked as graceful as a white swan.

The electric door slid open, and Cameron got in.

"Eli." Cameron nodded toward him.

"Have you been busy recently?" he asked.

Elijah had clearly taken his time picking out his clothes today.

He was already strikingly handsome to begin with.

With just a bit of effort, he looked even more dazzling.

When they sat together, just by their looks alone, they really looked like they were made for each other.

Cameron shook her head with a faint smile. "Not very much."

Recently, she had been working on a new medication.

She wasn't in a hurry to finish it, so things were pretty relaxed.

They kept up an easy conversation until they arrived at the restaurant.

Neither of them mentioned the unpleasantness from that night at Cameron's celebration party.

Cameron assumed Elijah already understood how she felt.

But the truth was, Elijah didn't dare confess his feelings again.

Once they arrived at the restaurant, Elijah took out a contract and handed it over

to Cameron.

"What's this?" she asked, taking the papers from him.

Elijah replied, “It's a new contract for the partnership between our two companies."

"A new contract?" Cameron glanced up at Elijah, her eyes curious.

Elijah nodded. "Cameron, the previous contract was signed back when you were still working on the leukemia treatment, and honestly, the terms weren't all that fair to you. Now that you've succeeded, I think it's only right that we draw up a new agreement."

Cameron gave a slight nod, flipped the contract, and skimmed through it at lightning speed.

Soon, she finished reading the ten-plus pages.

"Elijah, are you really going for a fifty-fifty split on the profits?" Cameron asked,

closing the contract and glancing at Elijah.

Elijah nodded. "Yeah, I think that's fair."

Cameron smiled. "Yeah, it really is."

Then, Cameron picked up the pen and signed her name on the contract.

The dishes were soon all brought out, quickly filling up the table.

Elijah casually mentioned, "Looks like Xander's back in the country, taking over his family business."

Cameron nodded. "I saw that in the news."

Elijah looked a bit surprised. "It's been a week already, and he hasn't asked you out?"

Apparently, Elijah had heard that Xander was still single; he hadn't dated anyone all these years overseas.noveldrama

He assumed that Xander was still hung up on Cameron.

Cameron frowned, genuinely puzzled. "Why would he want to meet up with me?" she asked.

They were roommates back in high school.

But it had been seven years-those days were long gone, and they were not the same people anymore.

Elijah fell silent.

'Why?' he couldn't help but think. 'Does she really need to ask?

Back then, Xander only decided to go study abroad because he saw something
