Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 793

Chapter 793:

“She’s your wife? Are you two actually married?”

“Yes,” Kinsey said, looking perplexed. He glanced between Dalores and Julio.

“Do you two know each other?”

Dalores felt her heartbeat quicken, uncertain whether to confess her acquaintance with Julio.

Julio responded coolly, “Do you really think so? That’s impossible.”

Kinsey remembered Dalores’ situation back then.

How could someone like her know someone as influential as Julio?

“All right, I need to leave,” Julio gave Eileen a slight nod, then turned and walked away briskly.

Kinsey’s face quickly turned stern. His conversation with Julio had been flowing well, but once Dalores was introduced, it drastically altered his demeanor.

He shot an annoyed look at Dalores but remained silent since Eileen was present. He simply told Dalores to leave by herself.

With that, he walked away.

“I’m going to leave now, Eileen,” Dalores said, taking some time to compose herself. “I wasn’t keen on coming, but Kinsey believed having a woman present would smooth interactions with businessmen. He didn’t anticipate that I’d disrupt his plans. I’m uncertain if he’ll hold this against me later.”noveldrama

Indeed, in the business realm, the presence of a female companion often helped garner more attention.

While the underlying intent of this tactic was somewhat dubious, it proved to be effective.

With a gentle sigh, Eileen advised Dalores, “You should head home first. Stay safe, and don’t hesitate to call me if you need anything. As for Kinsey… try not to fret. If any issues arise, remember I’m here to support you.”

Eileen could offer Dalores nothing more than some money, but that would at least prevent Dalores and her son from ending up homeless or without food.

“Thank you, Eileen,” Dalores said, feeling a twinge of shame. “You were quite unpleasant when we first met, but you’ve become my biggest supporter.”

After a brief conversation, Dalores got up and left. Eileen remained seated alone at the corner table.

The man in the suit, who had been silently watching Eileen and Dalores, put down his glass and walked over.

Holding a goblet, Eileen made her way across the room. As she passed the man, she brushed against his shoulder.

The man gave a slight nod, looked over inappropriately, and said, “Sorry, I didn’t see you there.”

“It’s alright,” Eileen replied, continuing on and ignoring him. The man didn’t follow her but headed in the direction Dalores had gone.

People clinked their glasses in toasts. After wandering for a while, Eileen finally located Conroy.
