Caroline's face went pale instantly. She saw blood.

"That's all. Just make sure to come in for regular checkups, the doctor said, then added while glancing at

her belly, "Since you're carrying twins, it'll be harder than a regular pregnancy. You're still early, so you're not showing yet."
