Chapter 19
Happy reading….
Jayden was ten years old when he first set foot in the house. Hearing the news from all his adopted friends made the boy so enthusiastic.
“They’ll buy you everything you want.”
“They will take you for a walk.”
“They’ll also take you out to eat good food and again you’ll have your own room.”
Everything his friends said was true. Jayden gets what he wants, travels, eats good food and has a room to himself. Unlike when he was at the orphanage where he had to share a room with his friends.
However, the happiness did not last long. The real faces of his adoptive parents are finally seen.
“You have to get good grades and go to a prestigious school. Got it!” said Elvis, the father, emphatically.
“Okay, Papa!” Jayden replied with a pile of books in his hands.
When he started school, Jayden lost his freedom. No more sightseeing or good food. There was only a demand that Jayden be what the couple he called Mama and Papa wanted him to be.
Otherwise, Jayden will end up locked in the warehouse. Without eating and drinking. He also had to be willing to feel the extraordinary cold that penetrated to the bone. Not to mention the pain caused by the blow of his father’s belt on his back. Makes everything like hell.
Jane, Jayden’s adoptive mother doesn’t behave like that but she doesn’t care about Jayden either. The woman with an oval face was only a spectator when Jayden was tortured by her husband.
Good adoptive parents?
“Bullshit!” Jayden cursed with a sad chuckle. He winced softly as he felt the pain in his back. His father had just given him a gift that Jayden didn’t want at all. Jayden’s hand squeezed harder against the paper which was the reason he was beaten again.
Imperfect school grades.
But Jayden is still grateful because until now he has not been kicked out of the house. And Jayden wasn’t going to let that happen. He will stay there.
As he grew older, Jayden thought that his adoptive parents would begin to change. No more beating or suing. But Jayden was wrong. Nothing has changed. Even their demands are getting worse. Making Jayden really lose his life.
When all his friends marry the girl they love. Jayden is caught up in an arranged marriage with a woman he doesn’t know.
“Marry Hera!” said Elvis.
Jayden didn’t answer right away because he definitely didn’t want to but the next sentence made Jayden unable to refuse anymore.
“And I’ll give you the company you’re running now. In your own name,” Elvis continued making Jayden look at him.
“Are you serious?” Jayden asked.
“Of course. Don’t you need a permanent job after marriage?” asked Elvis to which Jayden immediately nodded.
And in the end Jayden couldn’t resist. The dimpled man must be willing to sacrifice his love for the sake of getting power from his father.
“What? So you’re going to marry your parents’ choice? Then what about me, Jayden. Didn’t you promise to marry me? We even prepared it?” asked Elena over and over with eyes that were already flooded with tears.
“I’ll stay with you, Elena. You know how much I love you, right?” Jayden said trying to calm his lover down.
“How is that possible, Jayden? You’re going to marry someone else!”
“It’s just a gimmick to get me what I want,” Jayden said then took Elena’s hand gently. “One year. Give me one year to finish all of this. Trust me, Elena,” he continued with a look of conviction.
“But, Jayden I… hiks….” Elena fell into Jayden’s arms.
“Be patient. I’ll come to you again,” Jayden said hugging Elena tightly.

The wedding was held very lively. Because he was used to the pretense in his life, Jayden managed to deceive everyone, including the woman who was in a sacred relationship with him.
Hera Altezza.
Jayden admits, Hera is a good girl and the type of person who is obedient. Not very demanding, has a very gentle smile and voice. But that doesn’t change how Jayden really feels. He hated her more than anything in this world.
“Because of that woman I can’t marry Elena,” Jayden growled, clutching the glass tightly in his hand. Thrown on the floor to shatter into pieces.
“Oh my, Jayden! Are you all right?”
‘Unlucky! That annoying voice again.’ Jayden’s mind turned around to look at the woman he hated so much.
“My hands are a little slippery,” Jayden reasoned.
“But you weren’t hurt, were you?” Hera asked with a worried expression on her face.
“I’m fine, Hera. You take it easy,” Jayden replied with a sweet smile. Too sweet to make Hera trust him so much.
From their wedding day until now, Hera has never refused anything that Jayden asked. Including having sex after marriage. Jayden thought that because their marriage was due to arranged marriages Hera would refuse outright.
But Jayden was wrong because the woman gladly gave herself to Jayden. Whether it’s because of the role as a wife or there are other reasons. Jayden didn’t know. What is clear that night they really enjoyed their first night.
Until finally Hera became pregnant making the two families happier and Jayden’s business progressing.
But one fact they never knew. If Jayden stays in touch with Elena. The man will always make time to meet his lover at her house. Not infrequently Jayden also brought Elena to the house his parents gave him as a wedding gift with Hera.
Jayden smiled sweetly every time Elena texted him.
‘I’m waiting for you at my house. Come quickly! I miss you.’
The contents of the message. Jayden quickly replied to Elena’s message with words that were no less sweet.
‘How about tonight you just come over to my house?’
‘Where the hell is Hera?’
Elena knew very well that if Jayden invited her over to the house, it meant that his wife was out.
‘She has a family event and will probably stay over.’
‘Okay. I will come.’
‘I’m waiting for you my dear. I love you.’
‘I love you too Jayden.’
And this is where the chaos begins. Where Jayden plays with destiny and his marriage.
