The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage)

Book 4 Chapter 5.

Sophie POV.

I take a good look at myself in the mirror. My face is swollen, my lip split, my nose

is broken, both eyes are black. My jaw aches. I glare at my reflection.

I ball my hands into fists and they burn. This is not the worst of what they have done. But enough is enough. I can't keep running. I need to stand and face them.

I lift the hospital gown and see the black bruising forming on my ribs and across my stomach. I wince with the movement.

Ok, Sophie. What are you going to do? I ask myself as I look again at my face and something takes over in me. Not fear, something cracks and breaks free, demanding their heads. They are not my family anymore.

I think I was always too scared to admit that to myself. But now. They can go and fuck themselves. I have taken it for far too long. I straighten up and pull my long black hair up into a ponytail. I wince with the stinging pain and the burning ache in my ribs.

They have done this for the last time. I am not their punch bag and I certainly am not their money maker.

"I'm sorry, mom, you will never see them in heaven. They will rot in hell for what they have done. They have damned themselves and I will be their judgement." I say quietly in the bathroom of the hospital room I am in.

I hear voices coming from the bedroom and know who they are. Harry and Rebel. I sigh and limp to the door. Opening the door, I limp out and head back to the bed.noveldrama

"Soph, I thought you left. I was just organising a search. I'm so stupid I should have looked in the bathroom. Let me help you. You shouldn't be out of bed." Harry comes to my side and I brace my hands on the mattress and take a few breaths. Just limping has caused my ribs and lungs to burn.

"Thank you Harry, I woke up, and I was alone. I needed the bathroom. I didn't think you were here." I say to him as he and his mom help me back into bed and I groan as I sit up as Harry covers my legs with the blankets.

He sits next to my bed and his mom sits on the bed. I look at Harry and smile softly at him before I look at his mom and she is taking in every injury, every bruise and I give her a small smile, too.

"You are probably wondering who did this to me?" I say, not looking at either of them. No big girl panty time, Sophie. Eye contact, no more being scared.

I lift my head and look at Harry and his face is blank.

"You don't ..."

"It was my father and brother. This isn't the first time they have left their handiwork on my body. You see, we at one time were a loving family until one night that changed." I tell them everything from when mom died in that crash.

By the time I have finished telling them, my face is wet with tears. I gently wipe them away as I take a breath in and groan from the pain. Harry and Rebel both share a look and they both look pissed as hell. I shift uncomfortably, feeling the tension rising and the temperature dropping. I shiver.

"Sophie." Harry says with a gulp and I look up as he takes my hand in his. I gulp, my throat feeling dry as I meet his warm honey coloured eyes.

"I know we haven't known each other for a long time. I think while they are out there somewhere, that you can't go back to your apartment. Especially now we know who did this to you and why. When you get discharged, you will be coming with me to the clubhouse. We can protect you from there. If you need to go to work, you will have one of my brothers with you at all times. Until we catch your dad and brother." He says and I go to protest when Rebel stands up and I look at her.

"It is was is best right now. Especially that they told you they sold you to some man. I'm sorry Sophie, you are a sweet girl and you do not deserve what happened to you, especially at the hands of those that are meant to love you. You are not to blame for what happened to your momma. Harry and I would feel much better knowing you are with us. But I have to ask you something," Rebel says, and I choke on my emotions.

For once, hearing someone other than myself saying I'm not to blame for what happened brings so much relief. I whimper and blink away the fresh tears.

"Ask away." I say, my voice coming out shaky.

"When we get our hands on them both. What do you want us to do?" She asks, and I look down at my knuckles and see the scrapes and bruises. My ribs burn and my face throbs.

I look up at her, and she nods once. She knows what I want doing to them. I don't even need to tell her. I look at Harry and he is watching me intently.

"I don't know." I say to them and Rebel comes closer to me.

"You do know. I can see it in you. The look that you want to tear them apart. That you want them to hurt as much as they hurt you. I know that looks all too well. It's not because of my job or because of who I am. I'm going to let you in on something. I felt the same way about my family. So I know what you want to do to them. And as God and the Devil as my witnesses. They will suffer before we kill them." She says and any other person would be shocked and sickened by her words. But I'm not.

Does that make me a bad person?

"Ok momma, let Soph rest. She has been through the ringer today. We can discuss this more when you are felling better and not before." Harry says, sending

a glare to his mom, and she smirks and waves him off like it's nothing.

"Ok, son. It's up to Sophie what she wants to do. Oh, before I forget, I went to your apartment and got you some things. I hope you don't mind?" She walks to the bag and lifts it for me to see, and I nod my head at her.

"How did you know my address?" I ask her and she winks at me and looks at her son. I look at him, too. I don't know much about the MC or the mafia ties Harry and his family have. But I'm guessing they are some important people.

"Well, the thing is. Now don't get mad. I was worried and didn't know how long you were going to be out. So I kinda, sorta, got your details from your personnel file. I'm sorry Soph, I was only trying to help." He tells me. I should be angry, but I chuckle, shaking my head.

"You already knew, didn't you?" I say and he goes stiff and his eyes go wide. He gulps. I chuckle, finding it amusing.

"I'm sorry, I had to know." He says quietly and I shake my head. Gripping his hand harder and he looks at me.

"Thank you. No one has ever bothered to do a background check. I'm glad you did, but promise me something." I say with a yawn, and Harry nods his head.

"Anything, just say it and it will be done." He says and my eyes start to feel heavy as I lean back against the pillows, closing my eyes. My body and mind are exhausted and I start to slip into sleep.

"That I get to decide their fate."
