The Billionaire Contracted Wife

TWENTY SIX

3rd Person POV

Anica had just found his room. She straighten her dress and smooth hair before knocking.

And finally he opened the door. Cayne stood, tall, blonde and handsome as ever before her. He was dressed nicely in a black pants that fits him well and white shirt that fit him snuggly, emphasizing his muscular chest.

He look so good. Like really really good.

“Anica,” he said stiffly, frowning at her.

“Hey.” She smiled. “You look good. Where are you headed?”

“What are you doing here?” Cayne snapped, glaring at her. “I told you. Your assistance is not needed her nor wanted.”

“Oh please, honey,” she laughed. “You didn’t seem to mind my presence a month ago.”

“I told you, it was just a mistake. A big mistake right after it happened and right now I have realized it already, so please leave. Before I could do something that you’ll regret.” He said coldly towards her. But Anica didn’t seem to mind it and smiled widely to him.

“I’ll bet I could,” she stepped forward. “You’ve got to realize something good, that you really belong with me and marrying her was just a big mistake that you made.” She laughed.

“No,” he answered sternly, glaring at her. “You’re crazy Anica.”

Anica laughed cut off abruptly and she stared at him in disbelief when she saw he was serious.

“You’re not serious, I know that. I know you just married her because you wanted to be jealous. And you nailed it, very hard, honey.” You’re not serious about it.”

“What if I am.”

Anica’s blood boiled.

“You don’t belong to her.” She screamed, her face a mask. of disgust.

“If you’re trying to convince me to let go of Raszhiel, then it’s definitely too late for you to do that and even in the first place you won’t be able to make me do that.” He said softly, shaking his head. “She’s all I’ll ever wanted and more. I don’t care what you say and do in your god-damned life. Because I know I will be living a beautiful life that I could ever imagine. And that’s with Raszhiel and no other woman.”

Anica is pissed to what she is hearing. She stepped away from him and shook her head.

“No, it can’t be. She is just tainting you,” she said sadly.

“She’s brainwashing you so that she could take. you away from me.”

Cayne shook his head.

“Leave, Anica,” he said, he was about to close the door when Anica said something.

“If you can’t be with me for the rest of our lives, then it’s better if I’ll end her life myself then. Just wait. You’ll regret this one day.” She said and stamped out of the room.

Raszhiel’s POV

I was wearing a black long sleeve sheer lace panel dress. The lace was on the sleeves and it fits my body like glove. I wore a black patent leather platform heels that did wonders for my legs.

I had lipstick and few other things stuffed into black leather bucket bag. I slung the Burberry London black wool double-breasted, fur collared coat.

Which according to the price tags, the costs of all this outfits are $24, 500 dollars, altogether.

My make up was also on fleek. It’s a flawless natural look. My hair flowing past my shoulder.

I walked out of the bathroom and stepped into the living area where Cayne is waiting for me. He turned to look at me and my jaw literally drop just by looking at him.

Handsome. Gorgeous. Dazzling.

He isn’t wearing a suite, but he is dressed nicely. More than a prince charming in his simple black pants and white shirt.

Those jeans he is wearing fit him well, not too tight and not too loose. The white shirt fitted snuggly against his muscular body. He wore a plain expensive Italian shoes and an expensive leather jacket.

Minutes of checking him out, I realized that we were both stating each other in jaw dropping reactions. And it feels like I wasn’t breathing. I took a deep breath and he smirked, reading my mind like he always seemed to do.

He walked until he stood right in front of me. He snaked his strong arms around my waist and pulled me closed to him.

His eyes sparkled as he said, “You look so beautiful, love.” He kissed my forehead. Butterflies suddenly started flying inside my stomach to his sudden sweetness. “You look amazing. It’s gonna be hard to keep away my eyes and hands of you.”

“You look handsome too, Cayne.” I said as I caressed his face.

“Fuck!” He suddenly said that made me shocked.

“What is it? Is something wrong?” I asked panicking.

“No, but you’re making me hard.” Then he looked downwards. I also looked downwards and find out that his little junior is really hard as stone.

My cheeks flush pink and warmed of his silly action. He laughed and brought his lips to mine eagerly. He kissed me in such way that he had not been holding me, my knees would have given up.

“Where are we going anyway?” I asked breathlessly when we finally pulled away from a deep kissed.

He took my coat and held it open for me. I put my arms inside and slid on my shoulders.

“We’re going to the one of the best restaurant here in New York,” he said while buttoning the jacket for me as I smoothed my hair. When he was finish, he stood up and smiled at me softly, touching my cheek.

The look in his eyes scared me. It wasn’t the kind of look that would’ve scared a normal woman in her right mind, but it sent alarm all over my body. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

The look he was giving me was pure adoration and love.

No one had ever looked at me that way before. Not even Ethan. And it scared me. I shook my head. Maybe I was just imagining things.

“So where are you taking me now?” I ask to change the subject.

“The Oroa,” he smiled, his hand never leaving my cheek. “It’s a great restaurant.”

“To the Oroa off we go then.” I said as we stepped out of our room.

After our dinner, Cayne took me to a park. It’s so beautiful, decorated with Christmas cheers, the lights are so bright that you could see them from light years away.

Cayne sat beside me on the swings. He’s pushing me and I giggled like a kid for a few minutes, and now everything had winded down.

We sat on the swings and quietly, his hands were on mine. He raised my hand to his mouth and kissed it, our eyes met. He stared at me with the same expression he used earlier. Like I was perfect. My cheeks heated.

“Stop stating at me like that,” I whispered.

He raised his eyebrow and looked at me.

“Look at you like what?

“Like you… adore me.” I said looking away.

He chuckled. “I didn’t realized you could see through me so easily.” He shook his head.

“Well, you make it so pretty obvious.” I said, fighting a smile when I saw his embarrassment.

Then I remembered something and looked at him seriously.

“So…”

“So what?” He asked as he caressed my hair.

“So, about Lincoln?” He sighed and looked straight ahead, his lips pursed.

“Well, Lincoln and I were once friends,” his voice was soft. “It’s the three of us actually, Lincoln, Nicholas and me. Later on, Lincoln met Agatha and fell in love. I never met her, but Lincoln is so much ready for us to meet her.”

“The he told me how Agatha got scared because someone is following her and stalking her. He begged me to look into it and I did. I found out that Gregorio- the most fearsome mobster in the city was after her.”

Cayne sighed and squeezed his eyes but shut as if he were in pain. I held onto his hand tighter as he continued.

“I look further into it and found out that Agatha was betrothed to Gregorio. So I warned Lincoln about it. But didn’t believe me. He said he found her dead in his apartment, and if she is really betrothed to Gregorio, he wouldn’t have killed her. He got mad at me because I was an ass for not respecting her memory and and said that he doesn’t want to see me anymore.”

We were quite for a very long time after Cayne had finished talking. There was only the chill of December wind and the quiteness of our breaths.

“And that’s when I tried to talk to Lincoln when I heard about the man you said that ask for your help in the mansion. I knew for sure it was him, and I was curious why the hell he’d do that.”

“And?”

“And that’s when he said that he wouldn’t hurt you because of one reason,” He looked at me, very intense. Like he was about to pull me closer but didn’t. “You really look like her.”

“I’m sorry,” I finally said. I knew that he meant that I really look like Agatha. I lean forward and kiss his cheeks. He smiled sadly.

“It’s okay.”

We were quite for a very long time again, before he finally broke the silence.

“I love you, Raszhiel,” he said, his gaze unwavering. It stared past my face and into my soul.

I was shock. He already said it wholeheartedly. And it feels like all my vital organs slammed against the front of my stomach and it was suddenly so hard to breathe.

But the thing that surprised me the most was my response.

“I love you too.” I know it’s very hard to believe because our relationship started as a joke. I pretended to be his wife but now I’m saying I love you to him.

His eyes lit up and he smashed his lips unto mine, kissing me like tomorrow was never gonna come.
