The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 593

Chapter 593

“Ugh, typical Hudson,” Charlie muttered with disdain.

Hudson had a notorious reputation for harassing some unknown actresses, and it seemed he couldn’t

resist the fresh meat that Epic Entertainment had just signed. Julia, a new dancer under Charlie’s wing,

had already caught his eye, much to her dismay.

Analia chimed in, “Mr. Sears is just like that, and there’s little we can do except warn our talent to just

bear with it. After all, he’s got a lot of clout with the business side of Epic Entertainment.”

Gritting her teeth, Charlie spat out, “I’m sick of swallowing this bitter pill.”

Patty was a force to be reckoned with at Epic Entertainment. Even Mr. Sears had to show her some

respect. But for Charlie herself? Last time, Hudson had the audacity to try on her!

“If I ever catch him red-handed, he’s finished!”

She had been putting up with Hudson for too long, but she also needed him. Without Hudson’s

influence, she couldn’t stand up to Patty.

The thought of Patty always getting the upper hand made Charlie exhale heavily.

“Tell Julia to smarten up and don’t stir up trouble. Throw her a bone, like a magazine feature or a bit

part in a TV show. Let’s call it even.” Analia nodded.

“But Charlie, this isn’t the first time Mr. Sears has preyed on our artists. I’ve heard some of the newbies

complaining, saying they might be better off signing with Patty. With Patty around, Hudson wouldn’t

hassle them…”

Charlie took a sip of her coffee and set it down with a thud.

She sneered, “If they want to run to Patty so badly, then let them go!”

She thought, “Patty, oh Patty, you better hope I don’t find dirt on you, because you’ll be the first one I’ll

take down.”

Analia hesitated, as if there was more to say.

Charlie glanced at her. “Spit it out. Don’t beat around the bush.”

“One of my informants overheard something this morning at Emma’s. Apparently, Allison has evidence

that proves she’s not the person in those photos. They were planning a press conference, but it got

cancelled.”

Charlie pondered, “Cancelled? Whose idea was that?”

“I’m not sure, but there’s been some tension between Patty and Allison lately over this.”

A smirk crossed Charlie’s lips. “Patty’s trying to get her claws into Allison, but that’s easier said than

done. Allison may look gentle and easygoing, but she’s tough to deal with. She’s sharp. Getting bitten

by her means real pain.”

“You know, Allison’s short-sighted for choosing Patty as her agent. Patty’s just using Allison’s backing

as a stepping stone. She’s not truly looking out for Allison. She says she cares, but all the while, she’s

playing her own game. Rejecting you was Allison’s biggest mistake.”

“Analia, get Emma in here.” NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

“Emma’s out, not in the office.”

Charlie swiveled in her office chair, musing, “What could Miguel be discussing with Patty in her office?

Maybe it’s something to do with Mr. Sears?”

Analia suggested, “I could try to find out.”

Charlie shook her head. “Patty’s too cautious. Didn’t you see Miguel was carrying documents, under

the guise of signing papers? We won’t learn anything.”
