The CEO's Mischievous Little Bride

Chapter 700 I Really Like Teddy

The sweet sound of a child's voice filled the quiet car, the only noise breaking the silence. Occasionally, Vera would lean over and plant a kiss on Teddy.

She would pinch and kiss Teddy's little cheeks.

No matter how Vera played with him, Teddy always laughed happily.

The car gradually moved onto a country road, then onto an unnamed path.

Three cars drove in a line, winding through the countryside. If it weren't for Sebastian having been here before, most people would have a hard time finding this place.

"Sebastian, when did you come here? You never told me," Molly asked.

Sebastian replied, "It was during your senior year. You were under a lot of pressure with school, and I didn't want to distract you. Remember, I bought a lot of cherries that year and had you deliver two boxes each to the Linister family and the Olteran family."

Molly suddenly remembered.

Back then, she was a month away from taking the SATs, stressed out to the point of breaking out. Sebastian had bought ten boxes of cherries and had her deliver two boxes each to the Linister and Olteran families.

Randall had kept his identity a secret at the time, and neither Vera nor Molly knew he was the nephew of a business tycoon. When they gave him the cherries, he just took the two boxes and left.

"That was so long ago, Sebastian. You hadn't been a cop for long back then, right?"

Sebastian nodded, "That was my 17th case."

The surroundings gradually took on the feel of an orchard, with wooden fences enclosing the gardens and red fruits dotting the roadside. "Sebastian, I see cherries! Look at those branches, they're full of cherries."

Sebastian smiled, "We're not there yet. Once we get to the orchard, they'll be everywhere."

"How do you know so much about this place?"

Sebastian replied, "Every year, I buy our cherries from here."

The cars wound their way around and finally stopped in a clearing where a few other cars were canleacry parkeer.

Patrick parked next to them, followed by Randall, who skillfully parked beside Patrick's

car.

Molly got out of the car, admiring their parking skills, "You guys parked perfectly in one go. When will I ever be that good?"

Vera, with her son, got out a bit slower. As soon as she took Teddy out, his tears started to fall.

"What's wrong now?" The whole family was puzzled. "What did we do wrong this time?"

Vera held her son, "Teddy was looking at the sunroof. When Patrick parked and closed it, he started crying. He's so hard to please."

Everyone took turns comforting Teddy until he finally calmed down.

Sebastian led the way, explaining, "Milo's family has several acres of land, all cherries.

It's still early, so no one's here yet. By the afternoon, the merchants will come to collect the cherries."

As they reached Milo's house, Sebastian knocked on the door, and a dog started barking.

All the men instinctively moved to protect their women and children.

Molly, hearing the barking, got scared. Sebastian immediately held her, "It's okay, we won't go in."

Vera covered Teddy's ears and stood next to Patrick.

Randall stood in front of Susan and Shawn, shielding them.

Shawn called out, "Molly, come over here. Dad's cane can be used as a stick to protect you."

"Vera, bring Teddy over here too."

Molly felt a surge of fatherly love and left Sebastian to join Shawn.

As soon as she got there, Shawn handed her the cane, "If the dog comes out, you hit

it."

When the dog barked again, everyone else stepped back, but Shawn took a few steps forward with the cane.

Molly realized that Shawn loved to joke, but if there was real danger, he'd be the first to step up.

Patrick turned back, stopping Shawn from going forward, "Dad, I'll give you my car keys. You take them back to the car."

Soon, a voice came from the yard, "Mr. Chase, is that you?"

Sebastian smiled, "Milo, it's me. Is the dog tied up?"

"Give me a moment, I'll tie it up."

A few moments later, the door opened, and a man in his fifties stepped out. Seeing the group of handsome men and beautiful women at his door, he asked, "Mr. Chase, are these all your family?"

Sebastian nodded, "Yes, we all came together."

"Which one is your wife? I haven't met her yet." Milo had been waiting at home, knowing Sebastian was bringing his wife.

Sebastian called out to Molly, "Molly, come here."

Molly stepped forward, having heard everything, and introduced herself, "Milo, I'm Sebastian's wife. Just call me Molly."

"You're beautiful, and you and Mr. Chase make a great couple. Come on in, everyone." Milo warmly invited them in.

Inside, Milo kept glancing at Patrick, feeling he looked familiar but couldn't place him. When Milo's college-aged son came out and saw Patrick, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Holy crap, Mr. Olteran?"

Patrick, holding Teddy, was in the yard looking at the barking dog. The dog barked, and Teddy barked back.

"Mr. Olteran, can I get your autograph?"

Patrick, holding Teddy and looking at the dog, was stunned.

Vera laughed, "Can I, Mrs. Olteran, sign on behalf of Mr. Olteran?"

Susan was also looking at the dog. Randall, not knowing why Susan was always so curious, watched as she alternated between being scared and fascinated by the dog. Knowing Patrick's identity, Milo became more reserved. Vera joked, "Milo, if you act all stiff, I'll feel too embarrassed to eat your cherries."

Patrick smiled, holding Teddy, and said, "Patrick is just a person, not that scary. Just be yourself."

Later, Milo grabbed some bags and baskets, and they drove to the picking area.

In the car, Vera held Teddy and complained, "You see, everyone is scared to even speak loudly when they hear your dad's name, but you cry and fuss all the time. Do you even care about Patrick?"

Teddy's unexpected response made Patrick laugh, "You two are the same, always giving each other a hard time."

A few minutes later, the car stopped at the entrance of the cherry orchard. As soon as they got out, Susan exclaimed, "So many cherries! They're so red and big, Randall, look!"

Randall, being tall, easily picked a few bright red cherries and, warmed by the sun, fed them to Susan.

Susan bit into three at once, happily saying, "They're so sweet, Randall."noveldrama

She had a significant height difference with Randall.

Patrick also picked a small cherry, but instead of eating it, he fed it to Vera.

Teddy's eyes lit up.
