Chapter 1363 He Should’ve Let Go of Such Attachments

Hiding in the shadows, Dante, Kobe, Caius, and the others stared at Sirius, stunned by the overwhelming pressure he gave off.

Thirty years ago, Sirius, the former leader of the Black Faith Order, had battled four Warlords from the Dark Syndicate on Mount Zhisall.

Though he didn’t come out with a clear win, he held his own in that legendary fight.

The outcome earned him fame across the land.

It even forced the Dark Syndicate to give up one of their power centers in Rosha’s 18 cities, giving the Black Faith Order a firm foothold

That battle was the key reason why the Black Faith Order remained dominant in its region for years.

In the next ten years, Sirius brought all the sects in the 18 cities under his control.

After completing that, he chose to disappear from public life–and went into seclusion.

He stayed in seclusion for 20 years.

Before secluding himself, he had already reached the rank of First–rank Warlord.

Now, 20 years later, his power had surely grown far beyond that.

“But you were satisfied with small victories without any real drive.

“And now, facing a stronger enemy, you’re completely helpless!”

Ezekiel sighed bitterly. “I’ve failed you. I couldn’t protect the Black Faith Order.”

Sirius looked coldly at the bodies scattered across the courtyard and shook his head in disappointment. “Xylon let his feelings get the best of him. How could someone like that carry the burden of leading the Order?

“He destroyed everything I built for a foolish woman. It’s truly disappointing!

“If he truly wanted to achieve greatness, he should’ve let go of such attachments!”

Ezekiel abruptly stood up. “Dad, it’s my fault. I didn’t raise Xylon properly and spoiled him too much. That’s why this happened.

“I’ll

go take revenge on his killer!“.

Sirius snorted coldly. “You’re not strong enough.”

Then, he turned to Robin. “Sir, our Black Faith Order has always respected the strong. If you’re willing to forget the past, I’ll hand the Black Faith Order over to you.

“All 18 cities of Rosha will be yours.”

Robin smiled indifferently. “The Black Faith Order and Rosha? All you do is praise filth and twist what’s real. I don’t want anything to do with this place.

“I didn’t come to Netheris Domain to make friends or take over. I came here to destroy every last piece of filth like you.”

Sirius frowned slightly. “What do you mean?

“Are you going to go against all of Netheris for one reckless woman?”

Robin’s gaze dropped to Mabel’s ruined body. “That trash? She’s like a bug. If she gets crushed, who cares? There’s no reason to blame others.”

“Then what are you after? Can you tell me?” Sirius asked, confused. “The Black Faith Order still holds some influence in the Netheris Domain, doesn’t it?”

Robin scoffed. “Save your breath. If you’re ready to fight, stop pretending to be polite.

“You’ve twisted Rosha’s 18 cities into something disgusting. You’re no better than the filth.

“Come face your defeat!”

Sirius‘ expression turned cold. “If you’re that eager to die, I’ll gladly help.”

A powerful force burst from him like a wave. He rose into the sky, then slammed his palm down at Robin with great force.

Robin didn’t take the hit directly. He jumped back a dozen feet and shoved Ryleigh and Alaric further away to keep them safe.

With a thunderous crash, the place where Robin had just stood was obliterated, leaving a giant crater over 100 feet wide.

Robin’s arm was nicked by the sharp gust from the blow, leaving several red gashes.

Everyone who saw the terrifying blow was frozen in disbelief.

That was the strength of a High–tier Warlord.

From above, Sirius sneered. “Protective, aren’t you? With your power, you still show mercy? You’re clearly not my match.”

Robin moved forward and looked up at Sirius. “Without kindness, you’re nothing more than a wild animal. Come again!”

Sirius launched another attack without hesitation.

This time, Robin didn’t step aside. He faced the blow straight on, throwing a punch to meet it.

Robin’s fist smashed into Sirius‘ palm with full force.

It was like two giant ships crashing together.

The impact let out an ear–splitting sound that shook the whole courtyard, sending clouds of dust into the air.

Birds in the nearby trees didn’t even have a chance to escape before the shockwave shredded them into red

mist.

When the dust finally settled, the scene went completely silent.

Sirius was gone. Only Robin remained, standing among the dead.

All eyes followed Robin as he turned toward a pond about 100 feet away.

There, Sirius‘ strong body was falling apart before everyone’s eyes.

His gray hair turned white in a flash. His eyes, once full of life, sank deep into his skull.

The once–powerful Warlord now looked like a fragile old man.

Ezekiel ran over, horrified. “Dad, what’s going on?”

Sirius gave a weak cough and lifted his hand. “The Black Faith Order is finished.”

Then, he spat blood and died.

Ezekiel howled, “You’ll pay for this! I’ll kill you!”

“You won’t get the chance!” Robin appeared in a blink and stomped down, shattering Ezekiel’s skull.

Corwin and the others watched from a distance stunned by Robin’s overwhelming strength, and dropped to their knees.

“Sir, I swear I wasn’t part of Ezekiel’s plan. I didn’t know he wanted to kill you.”

“I’ve always admired you. I even gave you the Blackfaith Seal yesterday and invited you to Young Lord Fairfax’s celebration.

“I never meant to set you up. Please don’t kill me.”

Robin walked toward Corwin, and the air grew tense.

Corwin was shaking with fear, sweat/soaking his clothes.

Even a Warlord couldn’t match Robin’s power.

As someone below that rank, he was completely helpless.

All he could do was beg for his life.

“Do you think you’ll walk away from this?” Robin said coldly.
