The Diary Of My Dead Wife

Chapter 34: Crazy Kidnapping

Chapter 34: Crazy Kidnapping

Sophie was confused in the quiet room.In fact, she had no idea what had happened.

She only knew one thing, Zac had completely isolated her.

She learnt that there was a major problem in his company from the housekeeper and maid.

In addition to managing his business, he returned every day to accompany her.

They all assured her that Mr.Madden adored her and that she should cherish it.

But, because he was the only person in her world, she had to rely on him even more.

Even the maids are not permitted to spend too much time in her room except to give meals, water, and clean it on a regular basis.

She expected such a boring and miserable existence to endure a long time, at least until Zac calmed down from his rage, but she didn't expect it to end so abruptly.

That afternoon, Zac was holding a shareholders’ meeting.

The housekeeper called him unexpectedly, informing him that Sophie had a serious abdominal discomfort and asked him what they should do.

He couldn't leave because the meeting was about the company's overall situation, so he told the housekeeper to take her to the hospital first, then he concluded the meeting distractedly and anxiously, and told the driver to drive immediately to the hospital.

However, when he arrived at the hospital, he discovered that the operating room door had been closed.

The doctor told him that she had appendicitis and she needed surgery right away.

It was, however, plainly a small procedure that could be accomplished in under 20 minutes.

But Zac and the others had to wait almost an hour! By the time they realized that something was wrong, the operating room was already empty and Sophie had disappeared.

Zac's gaze was sharp.

His hand, which was hanging alongside him, slowly clenched into a fist as he glanced at the empty operating room! In a cold abandoned factory...

"Whoa-"

Sophie woke up abruptly when an ice water was splashed on her face while she was unconscious.

Then she found herself in an unusual and deserted place.

It was bitterly cold and shattered.

She was tied to a chair and a woman who looked exactly like her stood in front of her! They look exactly the same.

She might assume she was looking in the mirror if it weren't for the other party's ferocious expression and the different clothes she was wearing! "What are you looking at? Do you think my face resembles yours?"

Edith gave a frigid smile.

Sophie's chin was held up by her.

"I've heard you've turned into an idiot. You only have an IQ of four or five years old, right?"

"Who are you? Why did you kidnap me?"

Sophie controlled her shivers at bay.

Slap! When Edith slapped her across the face, her fair cheeks turned red and swollen.

Sophie's tears rolled down her cheeks, but she didn't dare to cry any louder.

‘Where are you, Zac? Come help me, I have been kidnapped by the monster! And she looks like me and she hit me!’ Edith became quite chilly all of a sudden.

"Is it painful? There will be more of that later! I've always despised your appearance. Why do you have the same face as me? Do you think you deserved it? I really don’t understand what's good about you. You've already turned into an idiot, but you still manage to fascinate Zac! You should know that he nearly killed me for you!"

Sophie was speechless.

She didn't dare to say anything, for fear that this woman would continue to beat her up.

Her eyes were dark and sparkling, with tears in them, like stone wet in water, and they were unfathomably beautiful.

"Is that how you look at Zac every day? It's no surprise that his soul has been enslaved by you! Do you think he would still like you if I gouged out your eyes? Even if he loves you that much, do you think he would waste his time to be with someone like you, who is blind and disfigured?"

Her chilly fingertips crept slowly up Sophie's cheek as she spoke.

"Please don't take out my eyes! Zac will come and save me!"

Sophie leaned back and desperately shook her head, but she suddenly fell backwards because the chair was shaky.

The back of her head was slammed on the ground, and bits of memories surge in her mind, but she was too late to catch up and they immediately vanished.

Edith laughed arrogantly.

She crouched down and held a dagger near Sophie's face.

The sharp blade clung to Sophie's face, which scratched her severely!Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
