Of course, Carly wasn't going to give up on Adam.

Adam entered his study and started reviewing documents. But suddenly, an image flashed through his mind. It was a delicate, porcelain-like little face-Bella.

He was thinking about that child again.

He had never liked kids before, yet after seeing Bella, he couldn't seem to forget her.

That child must be about three years old now.

Three years ago, when Celine left, she was pregnant. Had she given birth? Was it a boy or a girl?

For the past three years, he had thought about Celine every single day. When the longing became unbearable, his mind would wonder if she was with Perry now and if they were a happy little family of three.

Every time he thought about it, his heart ached unbearably.

In the end, he had lost his woman.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

"Mr. Alvarez." Leo's voice came from outside.

Adam snapped out of his thoughts. "Come in."

Leo pushed open the study door and walked in, placing a document beside Adam. "Mr. Alvarez, this is the list of attendees for tomorrow's Apex Gala. Please review it."

Adam had rushed back from Florencia to the Capitol specifically for this event.

As he picked up the list, his eyes immediately landed on one name-Linny. "Linny?" Adam frowned. "Who is she? I've never heard of her before."

Leo responded, "Mr. Alvarez, I've already had someone investigate. Linny is the real owner of the largest pharmaceutical conglomerate. She's the hidden boss behind Phamarsphere."

Adam paused in his actions.

Linny was the person behind Pharmasphere?

Years ago, in Caplionia, he had

caught a glimpse of this mysterious figure. He could still recall that moment. She was a silhouette standing beneath the dim lights, breathtakingly elegant and utterly captivating.

So her name was Linny. And she would be attending the Apex Gala tomorrow.

"Mr. Alvarez, Linny's attendance has already caused a huge stir. Everyone is eager to see what this powerful woman looks like."

Adam understood why. Linny had secured a spot on the Billionaire List, making her a true business tycoon.

He closed the document. "I got it. I'll be there on time tomorrow."

Leo hesitated for a moment before asking, "Mr. Alvarez, we didn't manage to find Ms. Celine in

Florencia. I believe she has deliberately erased all traces,

herself. It seems she doesnt

you to find her. Mr. Alvarez, should we continue the search?"

Adam had been looking for Celine for three years. This was like searching for a

needle in a haystack. It was endless, directionless searching and waiting.

Should he continue?

Adam's voice was firm. "Keep looking. I have to find her."

Leo nodded. "Got it."

Adam sat in his office chair, his mind once again conjuring up the image of Celine's delicate, beautiful face.
