Maddox waited nearly two hours at the Yeager Group before Jonathan finally arrived.

“Mr. Maddox, what can I do for you?”

“If Mr. Victor is requesting a meeting, I’ll make time,” Jonathan said coolly. “I’ll confirm the schedule with you later. Thank you.”

Having conveyed the message, Maddox had no intention of lingering. He had no face left to make small talk.

Just as he was about to leave, Jonathan stopped him.

“Mr. Maddox, since you’re already here, stay a moment longer. There were some matters I hadn’t gotten around to handling.”

He made a quick call. Soon, a secretary entered carrying a share transfer contract.

“Take a look at this,” Jonathan said, handing the contract over.

The Yeager Group wasn’t part of the Wynn family’s holdings. Jonathan had built it himself from the ground up–it was one of the top companies in the country.

Back then, he and a few others, including Mateo, had all invested together.

Even during the hardest times, no one had ever brought up pulling out.
